CHAPTER 1: Harrison University

Amara’s POV

I was walking down the hallway of Harrison University when the students suddenly stepped aside.

I was in doubt whether to stand aside or not. Wondering if I smell bad or have dirt on my face. Because just when I started walking, they avoid it. I’m not a queen for them to step aside. I don’t even have any infectious diseases. I am beautiful and I took a shower so, I am literally did not smell awful.

"What is she doing?"

"Aren't she afraid of him?"

"She's brave dude!"

"Good thing it's not the King and his team."

Those are just some of the whispers of the students in the hallway. Is that still a whisper? Well, I could hear it, so before curiosity killed me, I turned around to see if there was anyone behind me. Maybe there is something.

When I turned around, I didn’t expect the person I would see. I mean, I was hoping that we would meet because he is studying here originally, but not at this time. I still planned to surprise him, but I was the one who is surprised by him.

"Hi Joy!" / "Hey, Tine!" Alex and Josh greeted me in unison. They were Austin's teammates. Patrick, Ken and Andrew are not with them.

"How's your morning Joyce?" Austin asked me after he kissed me on my forehead.

I hugged him and said, "Now that I see you, my morning is finally complete. Though my plan of surprising you is epic fail hahaha."

"Silly..." He then holds my hand and begin walking again.

I don’t care about their whispers anymore. Just like bees. Do they have nothing to do with their lives? Did they just go here in the university to whisper and gossip? The tuition here is so expensive and they just move like bees.

I'm Amara Christine Joyce Hidalgo. Known as Christine Joyce Hidalgo. 22 years and is now on my 4th year here in Harrison University. I took up Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Fashion Design (B FA-FDN).

I am the mysterious Phoenix of Fashion Design across Asia. Even my 2 years boyfriend Austin Clark Del Fuego does not know this identity. I am planning to reveal this identity this year. It is also the reason why I transferred here at HU.

Austin is the team captain of H-University. He is in Business Management Department. The 3 times MVP. Their team is always the champion. He is also a model in their own modeling agency.

I have a brother named Francis Zeke Hidalgo, a tycoon and billionaire. But no one knows our real relationship except our relatives and close friend.

"CJ!" My best friend is running towards us.

She's Samantha Monnette Samonte, 22 years and same course as mine. We grew up together, we share even the tiny pieces of everything, no secrets. Were like twins.

"Hi Sam!" I hugged her. God, how I miss this woman so much.

"You two seems like never seen each other for a while in fact if I'm not mistaken you were having a dinner 3 days ago." Austin said in amusement as how we really miss each other.

"Well, Mr. Del Fuego, that was 3 days ago!" Sam said. I just laugh at them. I am used to it since they're always like that.

"Whatever Sam... Anyways, you take care Joyce and I'm sorry, I'm afraid I can't drive you home today." Austin said with a tiny touch of sadness in his voice.

"No, it's fine Austin. I'll go with Sam so, no worries." I responded with full of assurance.

When Austin is about to kiss my forehead, someone bumped into us which outbalanced my foot resulting me falling into the ground.

"Opps, I'm sorry!" A lady who sounded like bitch apologizes then whisper something to Austin before leaving us.

"Who is she?" I murmured.
