Mine Forever
Katarina Caldwell...
Fuck. Just thinking her name got me hard. No woman in the world got under my skin more than her.
Still, it was me that noticed they were stalking her.
The day they began.
I knew because I was following her first.
Now they’re in my way.
At first, I thought they were trailing me. I’d thought that perhaps, despite how careful I’d been, she was onto me. But it didn’t take long for me to notice these guys were oblivious to my presence. Even though I was always right behind them.
I didn’t like the way the two guys sat up straighter in the car every time she wandered into her room and took her clothes off. With those damnable curtains, which she never closed, wide open for their viewing pleasure.
Then they paid attention to what she was doing.
They need their asses handed to them. Pure jealousy roared through me. Raw and primal.
I planned to keep my eyes on these two clumsy thugs until I knew what they were up to.
I am not taking my eyes off them until then. I promised myself.
Everywhere their glossy black charger went, I followed in my gold Buick.
I absentmindedly speed dialed number two in my phone.
“Yes, boss.” The line promptly picked up.
“Rick, I have a car for you. Find out who owns it and who they work for.”
I heard the shuffle of paper in the background and knew he’d found a pen when he said. “License plate.”
I read it to him in a clear, precise tone.
“Got it, boss. I’ll hit you back in a few.”
I grunted in response and let the car ahead of me slip away.
They’re heading for the interstate. I knew.
Gone for now.
I turned the Buick around and headed back to 411 North Park Street, nestled happily in the Chestnut Grove part of town. A pretty little suburb where everyone conveniently minded their own business.
The road to the little roundabout where they lay was long and well-manicured.
Beautiful.
411 North Park was her address. She lived in a gorgeous part of town.
One of the perks of being a trust fund, princess. I speculated.
I’d always envied that she lived in quaint, beautiful places. Like the houses in Chestnut Grove. It seemed warm. Friendly. The kind of place where people would raise happy, squealing, families.
So far from the big, ominous places in my neighborhood.
I parked down the road and pulled a black ball cap from the backseat. I smoothed my midnight dark hair back and slapped it on. Next, I pulled on the dark, thigh-length coat which I preferred when I went to see her. I twisted the glossy buttons through their corresponding slits and turned up my collar. I stepped out and soundlessly closed the car door behind me. Only releasing the latch once it had sank into place.
I walked the lane with my usual cautious step. Doing my best to stroll casually. By now, anyone wondering about my car being parked here so often, would’ve assumed I simply preferred evening walks.
I had worked hard to become invisible in this part of town. Long before the first time I went to her window.
Now, I could do these walks blindfolded. My feet found their way to her house as effortlessly as I drew my next breath.
Her house wasn’t large. It was adorable, actually. White with deep blue trim. Conveniently situated by one home which belong to some middle class family. Exclusively for their vacations. Which meant it was rarely occupied.
I had done my homework.
The other belonged to a kindly old woman, who I’d found quite charming. However, she was often in and out of hospitals.
Also rarely in residence.
Her adult daughter stopped by to check on the house more often than the old woman got to live in it. Which wasn’t often.
Along the back side of these three houses ran a short stretch of forest preserve. This section of wide trees was what had lent this part of town its nickname.
Chestnut Grove.
A thin layer of early winter snow dusted the grass, shielded from the sun by the shade of the trees. Which meant I had to painstakingly sweep my foot with every step in order to avoid leaving prints. The chill had my breaths emerging as steamy puffs forming between my hard features. I pulled my collar straighter around the hard line of my jaw. Breaking the breeze against my skin.
I looked down the block and realized that only her lights were on. Of all the houses all the way down the block.
Only hers.
My careless, beautiful girl. I thought. She doesn’t have a care in the world.
She worked early mornings. Which meant that she slept much of the day and came alive this time of night.
Perhaps ‘come alive’ is a bit too extreme. I corrected. As I watched her shuffling around sleepily.
She wore a pair of pale blue yoga shorts which were just tight enough to make a man cry. They molded every perfect inch of her. Especially those delicious thighs which I had been fantasizing about getting between.
God, I want her. I didn’t know when, I didn’t know how, but eventually I was going to make her mine.
Everytime, she took a step her breasts hopped. Bouncing beneath the stretched fabric of a gray tank top which looked two sizes too small. Her nipples looked ready to cut straight through it.
She peeled off that little slip of a shirt. Which exposed the hemmed lines of a black halter bra. Her long blonde curls tumbled down her slender back as soon as that shirt came off. She flung the inside out material in the direction of her laundry hamper but it rolled down the pile and fell to the floor, anyway. Topping a growing pile there.
Because she never does her laundry until there’s no other option. A nasty little habit of hers.
She won’t have to worry about that once I get my hands on her. I promised myself.
I followed along the line of windows which faced the trees. Walking with her as she stripped that cotton bra next. We moved into the bathroom. Her hips swung side to side, bouncing so that her plump ass jiggled in such a tempting way that all I could think was how wonderful they would feel in my hands while I tucked my length into her slit. I could already imagine what that would look like.
A growl that bordered on pain crept from my throat.
Keep your mouth shut, Jake. I reminded myself. I was keenly aware that if anyone ever found out what I was doing here every night they would want to make me stop.
That would be a problem for me. I thought. I am never stopping. She’s mine.
The girl just doesn’t know it yet. By the time I was done with her, she was going to be ruined.
Mine forever.
