Summary

The story begins at the Red Moon Pack, where Freya, an 18-year-old Omega, and her “adopted” grandmother Sue reside. Sue works as a cook, while Freya is a maid. Tragically, her grandmother passed away a few months before Freya turned 18. When Freya discovered that Alpha Drake, the heir to the throne, was her mate, she believed finding her mate would alleviate her loneliness. She envisioned a partner who would love her unconditionally, care for her, and protect her from harm. However, her hopes were shattered when Drake “rejected” her due to her Omega rank, the lowest in the pack. Overwhelmed with pain and despair that he subjected her to both mental and physical torture, she decided to escape. Driven to the brink, Freya devised a plan to escape to the Human World, where her grandmother Sue had taken her on her 16th birthday. She was captivated by its lively and perpetually sunny atmosphere. One night, she decided it was time to leave, and so she made a daring escape from her pack. Freya and her loyal wolf, Fredis, set out on this transformative adventure, leaving the Red Moon Pack behind. Their story unfolds, revealing the challenges and uncertainties that lie ahead.

If Only That Had Been True!

Freya’s Point Of View

WHIP!

“PPlease… sstop…” I begged on my knees, pleading for mercy.

WHIP!

“DDrake, iit hhurtss…pplease…” I tried to hold back tears.

WHIP!

“What did you call me?” he asked angrily.

The pain was excruciating.

WHIP!

“That's Alpha Drake to you, bitch!” he yelled.

I was on the verge of passing out.

WHIP!

“Do you think you deserve mercy?” Drake laughed, his voice filled with malice.

WHIP!

“This is what you deserve, you filthy, weak Omega!” his rage can be felt through the lashings he delivered.

WHIP!

“I cannot believe the Goddess made you my mate!”

The joke’s on me!

WHIP!

“I will make you wish you were dead!”

I already do!

WHIP!

“I hate you! I despise you! I loathe you!” he yelled.

I believed him.

Each one is more painful than the next. I could feel my skin tear open. The pain was unbearable, and I finally lost consciousness.

As far as I can remember, I spent my entire life in Red Moon Pack with my grandmother, Sue. She had found me crying by the river 18 years ago and took me in. She took care of me until her passing a few months ago.

She worked as a cook at the pack headquarters while I was a maid. Being an Omega, there were no other options for me, but I accepted it as long as my grandma and I had food and shelter. I was content and happy.

I keep to myself; the only friend I have is my Grandma. I think because no one would want to be associated with a weak person such as myself, an Omega.

It doesn’t bother me much anymore than when I was younger. Being a kid and surrounded by kids, but no one wanted to play with me, was hard and sad if you think about it.

Oh well, that was then. Now, I do my job and take care of Grandma and me, which is enough. I do have my wolf, Fredis. She makes my life interesting, to say the least.

When my Grandma died, I was devastated. I felt lost, so whenever I was sad, I would remember her words: “Freya, don’t be sad. Dying is a natural part of life. I have reached the end of my journey, but yours has just begun.” She held my hand as she spoke, adding, “Soon, you will find your mate—the one who can bring you happiness and the love you deserve.” Tears rolled down my face as she tried to wipe them away.
