I have always felt disconnected from the people around me, convinced that they held some sort of secret to living an ordinary life, one free from pain and suffering. She caught my eye immediately. Most people wouldn’t look twice, I mean she was as plain as they come, but that was what drew me in. So simple, almost remarkable in how unremarkable she was, she must know. I’ve got to find out how I can be like her. I have to see for myself what makes a person normal. I just have to.
