Sweet, clean fantasy romance
"This story is a sweet, easy read. The trope is a traditional grumpy x sunshine, proximity romance. The female lead takes a job that she needs, brining herself in proximity to a grumpy but attractive man (minotaur). The plot line is well signposted. There were a couple of points in the story where I felt that the characters reactions were not entirely in keeping with the way they were constructed - for example, I was surprised by the lack of reaction when Bastian’s mother refers to Calista by an incorrect name. This story is less about the ‘spice’ than other books by Summer Steele, and the dedication to the authors mother makes it feel more wholesome 🙂"
