I’ve always wondered what it would be like to die. Yet when I joined this world, I didn’t expect how hard I had to fight to survive. I never asked for the head of the Italian mafia to fall in love with me. I didn’t sign up to join his crimson games of death and lies. Yet here I am. Waiting, praying, and hoping to see another day.
Love to me was foreign since I never once got the approval of my parents. Discarded away as a useless child, I had to grow up the hard way. I moved out when I turned 18, yet still my parents haunted me. Till he came to my life. I don’t know if I should thank him or not, but somehow, these games intrigue me. It makes me feel alive.
I remember the day I met him. Tall and handsome, yet a dangers glint to his eyes. My parents traded me to him as repayment for their gambling debts to him. I scorned him, yet he only seemed amused. He made a promise to me, that he won’t end this game till he had the world at his feet.
The Crimson Games he called it. That’s what amused him, gaining power and making others bow. I struggled to accept it, but when I joined his world I knew there was no going back. Now I must take my part in these twisting lies, and prove I am worthy to him.
