Page 1 - The Mysterious Tablet
Deklan and Lillian were the best of friends. Every morning, Deklan would give his little sister a big hug, and every night, she would giggle as she hugged him back. They were always up to something fun, full of energy, and—sometimes—a little mischievous.
One afternoon, while Deklan was playing on his PlayStation and Lillian was running around with her stuffed animal, something strange happened. A soft glow filled the room.
Lillian stopped in her tracks, her big brown eyes staring at the couch. She pointed her tiny finger.
Deklan looked over and saw something new. A tablet they had never seen before lay nestled between the cushions. Its screen flickered with swirling colors, and in big, bold letters, it read:
“Would you like to play? Tap here to begin.”
Deklan, being the adventurous big brother he was, grinned. “Wanna see what it does?”
Lillian clapped her hands and bounced on her toes. “Buh! Buh!” she babbled excitedly, still pointing at the glowing screen.
Deklan laughed. “I think that means yes!” And with one tap…
WHOOSH!
A burst of light swirled around them, and before they knew it, the room disappeared!
Page 2 - Welcome to Peek-a-Boo Land!
When Deklan and Lillian opened their eyes, they weren’t in their house anymore. They were standing in the middle of a bright, colorful world!
The ground was soft like a trampoline, trees were made of glowing blocks, and floating platforms hovered in the sky. But the best part? Little video game characters were peeking out from behind trees and walls!
A tiny blue creature giggled. “Peek-a-boo!” it called before poof! disappearing behind a pixelated bush.
Deklan’s eyes went wide. “Lillian! They’re playing peek-a-boo with us!”
Lillian’s brown eyes sparkled as she pointed at another character peeking out from behind a glowing tree. “Buh! Buh!” she squealed, bouncing up and down.
Deklan grinned. “Looks like we have to find them!”
The game had begun.
Page 3 - The Peek-a-Boo King’s Castle
Deklan and Lillian ran through the colorful world, giggling as they found one peek-a-boo character after another. Some hid behind glowing trees, others popped out from floating blocks, and even a few playful dogs joined in on the fun!
But then, a voice echoed across the sky.
“You’ve done well… but can you find ME?”
Deklan stopped in his tracks. “Who said that?”
Lillian’s eyes went wide as she pointed to a massive castle made of pixelated blocks. The doors were huge—taller than any building Deklan had ever seen! At the top, a giant, goofy face peeked out… and then disappeared!
“Woah,” Deklan whispered. “That must be the Peek-a-Boo King!”
Lillian clapped her hands. “Buh! Buh!” she babbled excitedly, bouncing on her toes.
Deklan grabbed her hand. “Let’s go find him!”
The siblings raced toward the castle, ready for the final challenge.

Inside the castle, everything was bouncy and silly—walls wobbled like jelly, floating platforms spun in circles, and doors kept appearing and disappearing.
Then…
BOOM!
The ground shook as the Peek-a-Boo King appeared!
He was HUGE—but not scary. He had big, silly eyes, a giant round belly, and a crown that looked like it was made of glowing video game blocks. He grinned down at Deklan and Lillian.
“No one has ever found me before! You think you can beat the Peek-a-Boo King?” he boomed playfully.
Deklan smirked. “Oh, we’re really good at peek-a-boo.”
Lillian pointed at him and giggled. “Buh!”
The King covered his face with his big hands. “Alright! Peek-a…”
Deklan and Lillian held their breath.
“BOO!” The King vanished in a flash of light!

Deklan spun around. “Where did he go?!”
The castle was completely silent. No giggles. No bouncing walls. No glowing blocks.
Lillian looked around, confused. She tilted her head, then suddenly…
She giggled.
It was small at first… then louder… and louder!
The entire castle shook! The walls wobbled, the doors spun, and suddenly—
POOF!
The Peek-a-Boo King appeared again! But this time, he was laughing so hard he couldn’t disappear!
Deklan gasped. “Lillian! You did it! Your giggles made him come back!”
The King wiped a tear from his eye. “You two are too good! No one’s ever made me laugh so hard before!”
He clapped his giant hands, and suddenly, a golden portal appeared behind him.
“You win the Peek-a-Boo Challenge! You may return home now,” he said with a smile.
Lillian clapped her hands, and Deklan high-fived her.
“Let’s go home, Lillian,” he said. “But this was the best game ever.”
And with one final WHOOSH!
They were back in their living room, safe and sound.
Lillian grabbed her stuffed animal and yawned. Deklan looked at the tablet, but… the screen was blank.
Was it all real?
He smiled, pulled Lillian into a hug, and whispered, “Peek-a-boo.”
She giggled.
THE END. here…
