Taito, Tokyo - Saturday, 22nd september 2001, 02:11
Tokyo shines bright, as humans mingle on the streets. Lights flicker frequently and it's loud - an oh so safe place for human beings, a place only few curses dare to approach... and even if, they'd get exorcised within seconds, without harming a single, poor soul. And so the young Kaori Sato was outside aswell. On her way back home from a birthdayparty of a close friend, she walked along the streets on her own by now. A friend of hers had accompanied her until just a few moments ago, yet Takyua never was known for his gentleman behaviour or bringing a woman home safely. Kaori didn't mind though... he was a nice, young man anyway. She'd never speak that out loud though... especially not in front of Takuya himself! Luckily, Kaori wasn't too far away from her small apartment anymore by now. With a heavy and exhausting sounding sigh, she started to climb up the staircase as the heels of her shoes echoed against the stairs in a rythmic sound. "Why doesn't this house have a lift anyway..?" Kaori murmured to herself... of course, after all, she had to get up on the fifth floor. Yet finally, she reached the door to her apartment, where she instantly rummaged through her bag, searching for her keys, before unlocking the front door and slipping inside. Just in the same moment, Kaori immediatley slipped out of her heels, carelessly kicking them aside as she made her way towards the kitchen to get herself a glass of water. She wasn't actually drunk, but not quite sober either to be fair. Downing the glass in one go, she reached to refill it a second time before she leaned against the kitchen counter. Her eyes went blank for a moment, just staring straight ahead into her small living area, looking at nothing particular while still holding the glass in her hand. Kaori felt like falling asleep right here and now until a sudden ringing of her doorbell brought her back to reality. Who in the world would come here at this time?!

"Kaori?" A familiar voice said on the other end of the doorbell monitor, making Kaori flinch for a moment. "Takyua? Didn't you say you'd go home now aswell?" She asked hastily, before the man on the other side of the call already responded. "Kind of, yeah, but... I mean I can also leave again, if you want me t-" "Oh no no no, please- come up!" Just after interrupting the man so abruptly, she alsready pressed the button to unlock the door downstairs for him. It didn't take much time until a knock on her apartment door signalized his arrival. Without a second thought, Kaori quickly opened the door, looking up at the oh so handsome man with a wide smile on her lips. Takyu kindly returned the smile with a quiet hum, before entering the apartment. A quiet moment passed between the two of them as Takyu silently took in his surroundings - he had been here before, yet it wasn't too often that he visited someone like Kaori, so he just admired all the small changes and details for a moment, before he turned around again, meeting Kaoris gaze again, the smile still lingering on her face. The man awkwardly cleared his throat, looking away for a moment, before he started speaking. "Yeah, so.. of course I didnt come here just because... that'd be pretty rude, even for me." A low chuckle followed his words, as if trying to loosen up the atmosphere around them a bit. Takuya seemed nervous.. which was weird for him, since he usually was such an extroverted and energized persona. "Well, we know each other for quite a while now and...- I mean even if it doesn't look like it Kaori.. I like you, like.. a lot. Like.. I love you-" Silence passed between the two of them, as shock and confusion was clearly written all over Kaori's face. "I just wanted to get that stuff off my mind- I figured telling you straight up might be the easiest way.. especially after such a fun evening we shared-" "I love you too." Kaori quietly interrupted the young man again, just gazing up at him with wide eyes for a moment. Each passing seond felt like an eternity for itself... yet at least it was a nice one.

As the first sunbeams of the day shine directly on Kaori's face, the young woman slowly waked up from her slumber, still feeling exhausted from last night's party. For a moment she thought about her meet up with Takuya - has that been a dream? The moment she turned her head to the side, Kaori got the answer to her question, as she directly looked at Takuya's sleeping form next to her - eyes closed, steady breathing, laying next to her under a big, soft blanket. Carefully sitting up in the bed, Kaori quickly pulled a part of the blanket up her body again, as she noticed his and hers clothes scattered all over the ground. Did she have a blackout or something? Slowly looking over to Takuya again, his eyes were now opened briefly, looking up at Kaori with a faint, lazy smile on his face. "Morning.." The man murmured just before closing his eyes with a deep breath again. Kaori on the other hand, looked around once more, confirming this wasn't some kind of messed up dream she was experiencing. Her eyes got caught by the clothes on the ground again... she couldnt just ask what had happened last night, right? "Morning-" She finally responded, her voice being carried by a hint of disbelive and confusion. Yet, Kaori forced herself to move and got up from the bed, gathering her clothes from the ground and slipping in something more comfortable - some sweatpants and a simple shirt. For a moment Kaori looked back to the bed, where Takuya laid peacfully, not attempting to get up at all. She tried to say something, wanting to talk about last night and what might have happened.. "I love you.." she repeated quietly, as if testing if his confession had been pure imagination. The room fell quiet again and Kaori felt a stinging in her chest as her body tensed up a bit. "Hm? I love you too... didn't I say that last night already?" Takuya finally replied in a murmur, finally sitting up in the bed as the blanket pooled around his hips. An incredulous yet quiet chuckle escaped Kaori's lips... so she wasn't imagining things? She didn't really know how to act or what to say, feeling somewhat helpless, all meanwhile Takuya didn't seem to care too much about the situation. "So? How about breakfast? ...I could make some Toast, but my cookingskills won't budge for a lot more" He then asked, joking around a bit, hoping to ease the tension of the moment a bit. Yet it seemed to work, as a small laughter of Kaori echoed through the bedroom, accompanied by a quick, almost enthusiastic nod. "I'd really enjoy that."
