Chapter 1

March 5 1993

I was walking home, and something didn’t feel right. Something ominous was present in the air. I slowly made my way up the walkway to the front door of my white one story house with grey accents. I reach my hand out and wrapped my fingers around the doorknob and turn it, I slowly open the door and what seems to be a cold breeze of air in this hot weather blows through the doorway. I make my way to the living room, and tears begin to flow down my face in a way that could be compared to a waterfall.

blood everywhere. Nothing left untouched not even my grandmothers urn. It’s all destroyed. My childhood home looking as if a wrecking ball went through, and my parents dead. Lying cold on the ground their body’s sprawled out on the floor eyes open. I collapse onto the ground with a cry asking God why me? Why? The pain unbearable I get up and go to the kitchen and grab a matchbox, and walk back to the living room tears still flowing, and I open the box and light the match and in almost slow motion the match falls towards the ground with one thought going through my head if they’re not alive then why should I be?

March 8 1993

With great dismay my eyes begin to open to see a hospital room, and a nurse writing something down on her clipboard. When she looks up a look of surprise takes over her face. The clipboard hits the ground with a thud so loud people in Canada probably heard it. ” you- you’re awake?” She says as if asking a question. All I can do is look up at her with eyes of heavy despair and misery asking no begging for her to save me. She runs out of the room and comes back a couple minutes later with a doctor who also wears a face of surprise. Was I even ment to be alive? With that it takes great energy to keep my eyes open, and the world begins to fade away as I fall into a deep slumber.
