Don Magianno’s voice sounded grim, "Those crazy Asians burned down multiple operations. Including a few of yours. I felt like this should have been something your father called you about, but he keeps delaying it off. However, your two operations out in Cali make a lot of money. So it is going to be noticeable if we are still spending like we are out there and those buildings are down. You need to get back and access the damage. ” Tony shook his head, ” I should be getting all the alerts for my two Cali locations.” Tony thought for a moment, Oh I am going to have a sit down with my father. I am about to kick his ass. He decided to get to the important details, “OK, I will be there in the morning to file a claim and access the damage. So we were going to make a deal with them, but fuck that now.” Don Magianno’s voice was stern, ” No, you will make a deal with them. Set up whatever trade agreement you need to make up for your father’s mistake. Or I am going to have to hang him out to dry. None of the small families or big rollers wants to go toe to toe with the triad. We are nowhere near big enough. This hit was done after all the establishments were empty to prevent deaths and suspicion. They were all made to seem like they happened naturally. I have talked to everyone who lost a building and a symbol was left at each seen on something non-combustible. They were signs to let us know we needed to make an offer. It makes them look weak if they let it go, so they will not. So get your operation set up there and hurry up and get your ass back here. Bye” Don Magianno disconnected.
Tony breathed out for a second. I can do this. I just got to tough it out. Man, my dad has me messed up, but what else was I meant to even do? He looked up through the backdoor glass windows. He could see Rodrigo approaching Calypso and giving her a hug. Tony’s eyes narrowed. Jesus, this woman is oblivious to how beautiful she is. I am going to end up in a fight. He thought as he walked inside. He was going to wait till after to give her the bad news. Tony knew she loved that restaurant because of how excited she would get to serve new entrées and try different techniques. She was going to be crushed. Tony quickly put on his charming smile as he approached her and put his arm around her waist. He reached his hand out for Rodrigo to shake. Tony gave him a firm handshake, ” I appreciate you coming here to do a pre-party turn up. I did not know you were trying to collect some more product.” Rodrigo looked confused, ” Yeah, I sent that with my text about the party to Eddie. I thought I could distribute it at my grand opening. ” Tony smiled, ” Oh OK well, I think we can accommodate that with what we have done already. Right Marie?” Calypso was caught off guard by Tony using her other name. She quickly perked up, ” Yes, I have made plenty. I got up in the middle of the night and had ended up making quite a bit more. Come follow us, I will show you.” Tony was surprised to hear her response. He did not even feel her getting out of bed last night. He wasn’t going to let Rodrigo notice that. He took Calypso’s hand, and they took Rodrigo down to the lab. Tony wasn’t worried about him seeing it because he already planned on moving the location of the lab before he left. Rodrigo smiled at all the vials lined up in a row. He smiled, “Perfect. This will be plenty.” He grabbed his cell phone and made a call, ” Hey Boss! It is all here. OK, call you when I get out of here.” Rodrigo hung up the phone. He smiled, ” Perfect, he is happy, so I am happy. I will have the guys pull around if that is OK?” Tony smiled, ” Sure go ahead. I will have Princeton and Eddie come help.” Rodrigo put his hand up, ” Yeah, it’s probably not a good idea to bring the other guy. I still want to chop off his testicles and make him eat it. So I am sure my guys feel the same way.” Tony shrugged his shoulders, “Alright, I can help.” Tony looked at Calypso, ” I will meet you in a minute.” Calypso nodded, “OK, I will get out of your way. ” Calypso walked upstairs as she walked away. Tony noticed he was not the only one noticing her walk. He saw Rodrigo admire her for a moment as well, but quickly turned his attention to Tony. Rodrigo said, “I am going to go upstairs and get them. They are not responding to the group text. ”
Calypso walked upstairs with Rodrigo not far behind her. She couldn’t help but to feel the mood of Tony had changed. She got up the stairs and walked through the backdoor into the living room. Everyone was drinking except Michael Angelo. He was on the phone. She then turned and saw Eric. He looked serious and was on the phone. However, he had a shot in one hand and a blunt in between his lips at the same time. She could tell something was going on. Calypso walked up to Eddie, ” Hey Tony needs your help downstairs with Rod, please.” Eddie turned and ran toward the direction of the lab. Calypso grabbed a drink and waited by the bar. Rodrigo came up and sent his guys down to the lab to pick up the product. Rodrigo came by the bar and poured himself a drink as well. He looked down at Calypso, ” I am sorry you have to stay here for a while, but I assured Tony. I will make sure no one knows about this place. I am hoping you and I can make a great team. Did you have your eye on any new labs? You cannot keep doing it here, it is unsafe.” Calypso threw her shot back and winced. She shook her head, ” Fuck I have no clue. Tomorrow is going to be interesting. I am sure Tony and I can figure it out.” Rodrigo raised a brow, ” He told me he had to leave in the morning. But do not worry. I can help you find a place. El Calon doesn’t even need to know where we found one at. Just as a show of faith. I think you are a bit more my speed. I think we will make great business partners. ” Rodrigo lifted his glass. Calypso poured a shot in her glass and then toasted him. She did not want to be rude. She may need him for something else down the road. She smiled, “Sounds good.” Calypso saw her brother get off the phone. She turned to Rodrigo, ” I am going to go talk to my brother.” Calypso walked toward Angelo. She looked irritated, ” You said I had to sacrifice. You did not say anything about convincing him to leave in the morning, Angel.” Angelo looked at her. He knew she would be upset when he told her. He frowned, ” Everyone is getting calls in now. The triad burned down the restaurant you worked at and a few other places. My brothel I had in Queens. One of dad’s properties we were actually kind of worried about, but since no one is in town, we all have an alibi. So I can just make an insurance claim on it. So I am pretty thrilled overall. I am sorry about your job though. I know you love cooking.”
Calypso’s face fell. She was devastated, ” Why would they choose the restaurant besides the gambling? I do not see the reason for them to target it. I am sure there were more profitable businesses. ” Angel knew why. He replied, “That restaurant has garnered a lot of attention in the last few months. It was the best way for the triad to get our attention, and they succeeded in that.” Angelo stroked his sister’s hair. ” Calypso straighten your face. You cannot show weakness. It will be fine.” She looked down, ” I understand. I am going to go smoke.” She walked to the main table and grabbed one of the rolled blunts off the table. Tony had just walked upstairs when he caught eye contact with Calypso, and he could already tell by the look on her face. She knows, he thought. He walked toward her and gave her a hug. Calypso sighed. She responded, ” Thank you, You should have told me beforehand.” Tony pulled out a lighter and handed it to her. At that moment, Rodrigo said out loud, ” Alright! Follow us.” They all hopped in the black SUV and followed behind Roddrigo. They were all feeling a bit tipsy and by this time Calypso just wanted to have fun. Tony was on the other side of her and had his arm around her body. Eric was cracking jokes and Calypso slowly felt the weight of what she signed herself up for being lifted off her shoulders.
She thought to herself. If I do not have faith in him that he can make this work. Then what did I do this for? I just got to make the best of this night with him and hope for the best. When they arrived at the club. Calypso stepped out of the car. She had on the orange one-shouldered dress Tony had bought her in La Jolla, and she felt eyes directly on her as soon as her heels hit the ground. She turned to Tony, ” Am I over dressed?” He looked at her and took her in for a kiss. Tony pulled away and whispered in her ear, ” You look perfect, like someone above class. Everyone is looking at you because they know that. ” Calypso felt heat on her neck. He took her hand as Rodrigo got out with his group of people, and they walked in together. Calypso waved at Daniella. She reached over and gave her a hug.
Daniella had on a cute yellow dress. Calypso made a face. She looked at Daniella’s butt, ” Girl, I did not know you had all that booty back there!” Daniella cheesed, ” Yeah, you can see it from the front. I never dress up! Let us go get fucked up!” In the club they all toasted at the start of the party. The night went by like a blur after that first drink. Everyone seemed goofy and elated. Calypso noticed people around them were getting super touchy. The euphoric vibrations hit Calypso’s body like a tour bus. She gripped Tomy’s shoulder. Tony looked at her intently, ” The drinks?” Calypso shook her head quickly.
Tony looked up quickly at Rodrigo, ” Is this our product?” He looked down at Calypso, who had moved on from the conversation and started dancing again. Rodrigo smiled, ” Yes, all of our alcohol is infused for tonight. Everyone is paying extra for entry and drinks. It is going to be incredible. I look forward to this partnership. It is going to make us all rich!.” Tony looked at Calypso with concern, but she was not concerned and when she turned and made eye contact with him. All the concern left his body. Tony approached her and wrapped his arms around Calypso’s body. She touched his arms with her hands, encouraging him to come closer to her body. Tony’s other hand rested on her hip, and he put his face on Calypso’s shoulder, his breath tickling her ear. He closed his eyes as he moved to the music with her. Much similar to when they first met, except this time he did not have a care in the world. Eric was getting tore up and talking to Rodrigo about his exotic imports business and Rodrigo was staring back at Eric in shock. Angelo was talking to Daniella at the bar. So Tony did not have to worry about anything but the woman in front of him.
The dress he bought Calypso in Jolla fit her body like paint. The material was soft to the touch. Tony felt his lust starting to grow. He kissed Calypso’s neck and whispered in her ear, ” I can’t wait to get you back to our room. No excuses this time. I want you again before I leave. You cannot let me have a taste and then make me go without.” Calypso sighed. Tony’s syrupy sweet voice in her ear was hard to resist. She wanted to let him take her body, like he did that night. It wasn’t just the drugs making her feel that way. Tony had on a dark blue suit. It looked quite expensive. The navy blue complimented his sun-kissed skin well. The mexican sunshine was doing Tony’s complexion some good. He smelled like rich sandalwood that tickled her nose and engulfed her senses.
His lips felt soft as he spoke into her neck. However, her pettiness was overpowering her body’s urge to let Tony devour her. She smiled cutely, ” You can have a taste when you come back and get me.” Her cocky remark made Tony bite his lip. He got serious. He whispered in her ear, ” I will be back as fast as I can to get you. I know you are sacrificing for me. I love you.” He kissed the side of her face. Calypso looked up at him. She smiled, “OK, I trust you.” Tony leaned in and kissed her. For a moment, they had forgotten where they were. Calypso did not realize, she had been seduced into the mafia, by a silver tongued serpent.
