PROLOGUE
In a dimly-lit room, Meera’s hands and legs were tightly bound as she cried out, “Please let me go. It’s my wedding today.”
Desperation filled her voice as she continued, “If you need money, just tell me. I’ll give as much as you want. Just let me go. Please.”
The masked kidnapper remained silent, indifferent to her pleas. Without a word, he left, closing the door with a harsh slam, leaving Meera alone to cry until she eventually passed out.
Once the cherished sun in everyone’s sky, she now cast shadows of disdain. Adoration faded, replaced by the bitter verses of animosity that painted her world in hues of scorn.
