This is a work of fiction, written for the reader’s enjoyment. Inspired by the real worlds of professional hockey and competitive figure skating, it unfolds where the lines between fact and fiction intersect. The hockey teams, their arenas, the skating competitions, and the path to the Olympics are all imagined and serve as the foundation of this work. I’ve taken creative liberties with geography, cityscapes, and landmarks. Some locations are entirely invented or have been adapted for the narrative. Any resemblance to real people, places, teams, or events is purely coincidental and constructed to fit the setting of this story.1
