Introduction - How it all began

I was 14 years old. There were dragons and vikings everywhere, fighting in the darkness of the night. I couldn’t stand it, seeing so many deaths. I had to leave. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. I ran through the woods and to a small cave in the side of a cliff at the edge of Berk. I ran inside to see the dragon I had grown to love, Icicle. A Chimeragon. She looks like a tiny Bewilderbeast with wing’s. She has a combination of different fires such as fire, ice, and Lightning.
I love her so much but we had to leave now otherwise we could die. I got on her and we flew as fast as we could away.
As I looked back to the village I hated ao much, I saw the one thing that had kept me there all these years. My brother, Hiccup. I looked back in the direction I was going and thats when I saw it. As dark as the night sky itself, flying right beside me was a night fury. The unholy offspring of lightning and death itself. I stared into it’s big green eyes, unable to look away. As fast as I had seen it, it disappeared. I looked behind me to see where it had gone, but it wasn’t there. I heard a shriek and looked down to see that the night fury had been shot. I dived down with Icicle trying to catch its falling body. We caught it just before it hit the water and sped back to the forest of Berk.
I struggled to untie the ropes from around it’s body. There was one more I needed to cut when I heard the snap of a twig. I can’t be seen helping a dragon so I dived behind a rock. I peeked around the corner to see who it was and to my surprise it was Hiccup. I watched as he cut the final rope and the dragon was free. It gave a deafening roar and attempted to fly away. It was injured but I had seen what I needed to. Hiccup released it. I now knew that he would take care of it. Just like I had with Icicle. So I got on her and we flew away together.
