Enrapturing To Say In The Least!
"The story really had you absorbed in that kind of way where you feel exactly what the characters feel. You don't just see the world through their eyes, you experience the world through their eyes. And that's something special! The story overall was very enjoyable as a slow burn that sped and spiced up in the latest chapters when it would be most satisfying. The story connected plot points in a satisfying way and while sometimes timeskips (like those between chapters) were unclear, or they happened when you were like "wait wait wait go back I wanna go through what they did, not hear about it through a semi-flashback!", it was still very enjoyable to read. You never knew if you were going to laugh, cry, or rage each chapter so just come prepared for it all! The plot was beautifully written and painfully realistic. It delved into very real and person psychological experiences without explicitly and definitively getting too deep into them, it made it personal for the parts people related too while being 'another well written plot piece' to those who didn't. The ending was, something. It ended in a good way writing-wise, but I almost feel it could'be ended better, or even later. There are always problems with drawing a story on too long but I think this was a rarer case where it ended too soon, or at least not in the right way if it were to end this early. For the sake of not spoiling, I will not disclose my preferred ending here. The author's writing style was enthralling and enamoring. As I said earlier I was living through the story, not just seeing it. It was beautiful and endearing as well as every other e-word that means enrapturing! It's the kind of writing that I can't tell you about in a review, you're just going to have to experience it yourself. Lastly technical writing skills. If I could rate this on a scale of 0-10, I'd give it a 9. Not a 10 because it wasn't perfect but there were very very very few grammatical errors, and most non-grammar geeks may not notice any at all. And the ones that were present were small, minor wording issues. I'm on the ropes between rating this 4 stars and 5 stars but I'm going 4 just because I have seen stories with perfect writing skills so I know it's possible!"
