Chapter 1

Shehnaaz’s voice rang through the house, urgent and loving.

“Amal, wake up, my dear child! It’s already 6 o’clock, and you’re getting late for your job!”

Amal stirred under the warmth of her blanket, reluctant to leave the comfort of her dreams. Slowly, she pushed the blanket aside, sat up, and rubbed her sleepy eyes. Stretching her arms, she whispered a silent prayer,

“Oh, my dear Allah, thank You. Oh, my beloved Prophet, today is the most special and important day of my life because today is my first day as a teacher. Please, let my day be filled with success and happiness.”

As she opened her eyes fully, the golden morning sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm glow around her. Her beauty was ethereal, like that of an angel-her deep, expressive eyes holding dreams as vast as the sky.

Her gaze fell upon the photo frame on her bedside table. She traced her fingers over the faces of her beloved parents, a lump forming in her throat.

“I wish we were together... I miss you so much,” she whispered, clutching the frame against her chest, as if the love she held in her heart could bring them back to her. A single tear rolled down her cheek before she wiped it away and steeled herself for the day ahead.

Shehnaaz’s voice echoed again, a mixture of concern and affection.

“Amal! Will you go to work today or not?”

Amal quickly wiped her face and replied, “Ahh, yes, Aunty! Just give me five minutes, I’m coming!”

Shehnaaz’s tone softened. “Okay, my dear, come quickly.”

Introduction to Amal’s Family:

Amal was a simple, middle-class girl with dreams shining in her eyes. After losing her parents, she found a home with her kind-hearted neighbor, Aunty Shehnaaz, who took her in with open arms. Shehnaaz, a talented tailor, loved Amal like her own daughter. Today was a milestone-Amal’s first day at work.

Shehnaaz had two children: Afroz and Asma. Afroz was an event organizer, a man who carried unspoken emotions in his heart. He loved Amal deeply-with every breath, with every glance-but he never dared to confess. His love was silent yet overwhelming, a storm hidden behind the gentlest of smiles.

Asma, a makeup artist for actors, adored Amal like a sister. She knew of Afroz’s feelings but never spoke of them.

Back to the Present:

Amal hurriedly got dressed, her heart racing with excitement and nervousness.

She had breakfast so fast.

Just as she was about to step out, Shehnaaz stopped her, holding a small bowl of curd and sugar.

“Work hard, my child. All the best. Allah is always with yo

A warm rush of emotion filled Amal’s heart. She looked at her aunt with glistening eyes. “Thank you, Aunty. I will make you proud.”

Afroz and Asma wished her luck, their smiles hiding emotions they couldn’t express in words.

Afroz offered to drop Amal off at her school. As they sat in the car, an unspoken tension filled the space between them.

Afroz cleared his throat, trying to keep his emotions in check. “Amal... best of luck,” he said, his voice thick with feelings he couldn’t voice.

Amal laughed, a sound so carefree it made his heart ache. “My dear best friend, you already wished me!”

Afroz forced a smile, masking the turmoil within him. “So what? It’s good to keep more luck with you.”

Amal chuckled. “Okay, fine. Bye!”

She got out of the car, stepping towards her new journey with excitement. He watched her walk away, his heart screaming the words his lips couldn’t. He wanted to run after her, tell her everything-but instead, he remained frozen, watching the love of his life slip away like sand through his fingers.

---

Meanwhile...

A girl sobbed uncontrollably, her knees hitting the cold floor. Her beauty was striking-tears shimmering in her eyes like unshed stars, her pain raw and piercing.

“No! You can’t leave me! You are my everything! How can you leave me? No... Nooo... please come back! Please... Don’t leave me! Ahhhh!”

A round of applause erupted from behind the screen.

“Excellent! Superb, Zeba!” the director called out, excitement lighting up his face. “I’m thinking of casting you in a big movie. What do you say?”

Zeba’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Seriously, sir? Thank you so much!”

Today marked the last shoot of this short film. The cast and crew celebrated by cutting a cake, laughter and joy filling the evening air.

Introduction to Zeba’s Family:

Zeba had run away from home as a child and now lived with her father’s best friend, Naziya. Her manager, Heer, guided her through the industry. But there was one thing about Zeba-she despised the name “Amal.” Anyone with that name faced her instant resentment, though no one knew why.

Her dream was to become a superstar in the film industry.

---

Meanwhile...

A man walked through the grand gates of his home, the morning sun highlighting his chiseled features. Faiz had just returned from his morning jog, his athletic frame radiating energy.

His father, Irfan Ali Khan, called out from the garden, “My dear son, come have tea with me.”

Faiz smiled. “Yeah, sure, Dad.”

As they sat in the lush garden, sipping tea, Irfan’s eyes fell on a fallen flower pot. His face darkened.

“Watchman! Come here!”

The watchman rushed over, panic flashing in his eyes. “Yes, sir?”

“How did this flower pot fall? Did a thief enter last night? If yes, then you’re fired!”

The watchman stammered. “Sir, please don’t fire me! Actually, last night, Ayaan Sir climbed the wall and entered the house.”

Irfan’s expression turned stormy. He shot up from his chair. “What?!”

He marched inside, his voice booming in anger. “Ayaan! Ayaan, come out!”

The household gathered in the living room. Irfan’s wife, Zeenath, looked worried. “What happened? Why are you shouting?”

Irfan’s jaw tightened. “First, call your ‘prince,’ then I’ll tell you what happened.”

Ayaan’s room was upstairs. The sound of his door opening echoed through the house. He appeared, leaning casually against the glass railing, his dark eyes holding a mischievous glint.

“What happened, Dad? Now what did I do?”

Irfan’s fury exploded. “How many times have I told you not to stay out all night?! Why don’t you listen? I know you went on a ride last night! Why can’t you give it up? It’s dangerous!”

Ayaan sighed, running a hand through his tousled hair. “Dad, please calm down. Riding isn’t as bad as you think. And my brother stays out all night too, but you never say anything to him! Why am I always the one getting scolded?”

Suddenly, Ayaan’s grandfather, Abbas Ali Khan, intervened.

“Irfan, you’ve started yelling at my grandson again.”

Abbas turned to Ayaan and smiled. “Son, go and rest.”

Ayaan looked at his grandfather with gratitude shining in his eyes. “Thank you, Grandpa! I don’t know what I would have done without you. I love you! Good night!” he said warmly.

Irfan, who was nearby, chuckled. “It’s early morning, and this prince is saying good night!”

Then, turning to his father, he complained, “Dad, why don’t you ever let me speak?”

Abbas smiled at his son’s frustration and then called out, “Zeenath, my dear, bring me a cup of tea.”

Zeenath, ever the dutiful daughter-in-law, responded promptly, “Of course, Dad.”

Irfan, however, was lost in his own thoughts, his anger bubbling beneath the surface. “What should I do?” he muttered to himself before storming out of the room.
