"I only write reviews for those stories that deserve more exposure. And I only write them in the hopes of helping to push the story out to new readers. I do not *like* writing reviews at all, 'cause I just can not keep it short 🙂↔️ So if you're checking out this review: read the bl●●dy story 🙆♂️ I guarantee Joy, Selwyn and Jacobi's story will own you just as much as it did me. What's to like? This is a writer who knows how to write. Her voice is sooo well-developed. The language is beautiful. You don't just read the words. You feel them! The characters are crafted with care and complexity, and you truly feel for them as they struggle through and grapple with all sorts of conflicting emotions. The detailed world-building, the story line and plot twists, the whole effort being put into the story - heck, it all pulls you in. But let's keep it short (-ish 🙉😄). So what makes *this* story worth your time? It's all in the balance. That sweet sweet dance between raging emotional turmoil and fiery desires. All burning up in a story, but no raging? Disaster. All raging, no burn? Stuck forever 🙅♀️🤦♀️🥱 Enter the love triangle between Joy, Selwyn and Jacobi. (Yeah, we all know the trope. Two guys, one girl. They meet and the heat is 🔥 and they fall in lust and they all get along famously. The end). It's the different take on the love triangle trope that, for me, places this story slam-dunk right within that balance. Joy and Selwyn and Jacobi are slowly stoking the fire of desire while also burning the place down with the complexities of their emotions. The three main characters' emotional journey really connects. It dissects and reflects. Their doubts and insecurities, as they navigate the complexities of their feelings for each other, really drives their motivations and actions within this triangle. You can see their vulnerabilities and growth throughout the narrative. And it's pure and raw. So what's not to like? Read it 🖤🖤🖤 "

"Well, this was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. So far, this book is the product of a seasoned, mature writer - one familiar with the delicate, subtle craft of world building and detailed, realistic character development. The reader is dropped into the middle of this world with no preamble and no map. That's the way it should be, unsettling and immediate, just like real life. Each character in this story, even the momentary, peripheral ones, has a separate distinct presence and voice. What a welcome pleasure! The plot so far is (ahem) devilishly clever. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. The pacing is so tight you could bounce a quarter off it. I have no idea what's going to happen next - I can't tell you how happy that makes me. I'll be eagerly awaiting the chapters to come."
