Author's Note
As a newbie, I have no expectationsâno idea if anyone will ever read this. I once thought I was better off writing for myself, storing my stories in a quiet little corner of my pen drive. But then, some friends encouraged me to share them. So, here I am.
It wasnât an easy decision then, and even now, I still struggle. Iâve deleted, unpublished, republished, and unpublished again. But despite my doubts, I told myself Iâm willing to learnâto improve where I lack. With zero expectations, Iâm here because, deep down, I still believe I can write, however shamefully, in this foreign language I found easier to learn than my own mother tongue.
This story began as something that felt impossibleâbecause I doubted whether I was strong enough to bring it to life. But here it is.
For the sake of storytelling, this tale unfolds in another universe, on its own version of planet Earth. On that Earth, mind abilities are the norm. Unlike our world, where such things are impossible unless one reaches a certain stage of mindfulness, in that world, they are an everyday reality. However, just like in our world, change is inevitable, and what was once strong has long begun to decline.
I donât know why youâre reading this, but thank youâeven if you donât make it past the first chapter.
Trigger Warnings
This story contains themes of mental health struggles, violence, death, discussions of suicide, manipulation, bloodshed, and a few explicit but fully consensual sexual scenes. Please read with care.
Other than that, thereâs nothing to worry about.

This book is the twin of another, a story planned to follow once this one has fulfilled its purpose. Itâs a little secretâone that will make a certain genre more realistic in a way Iâve never seen done before. Youâll just have to wait and see.

A Quick Clarification
Past lives, in the context of this story, refer to previous existences or lives lived before the current one. However, itâs important not to misunderstandâthis story follows the idea that we only live once.
This means that whoever our soul was before our current life is not usânot at all. Yet, if we happen to remember fragments of those past lives, it may feel as though we have lived through them.We might start saying,âI was this, I was that,â but this is merely the effect of recalling memories.
Our current body and mind never truly experienced those past events, yet the human mind struggles to separate memory from personal experience. This can blur the lines between what was once someone elseâs life and what now feels like our own.
