Summary

On Torrallis, everyone is either a Citizen or a Being-there is no in-between. No one exists outside the system. Except Ayria. Stripped of identity, cast into nothingness, she is neither Citizen nor Being-a ghost in a world that refuses to acknowledge her. And she intends to make them pay. Fueled by vengeance, she sets her sights on those she holds responsible, a force unseen yet unstoppable, unraveling the very order that cast her aside. But in a world where you must be something to exist, how far can nothing go before it consumes everything?

Prologue :A Moments Mercy

The knock was rapt and desperate, everyone close to the door could hear it, but no one could dare open the door, it came again. Once, twice, then multiple times “Please help me!... Please!....I’m with a child, a newborn!” a female’s voice cried from outside, it was hard to hear her but it was evident that she was desperate, Who wouldn’t be? With a level 9 skybreaker outside no one can survive. The woman lifted her hands to knock again, but the door cracked open a sea of eyes stared back at her, but none refused to meet her gaze, “Madame koo… please…..’ With the door open everyone could hear how weak she already was “it’s full.” Madam Koo said back with her red eyes burning intensely into the woman in front of her, “ not for me, for her…” the woman said moving her shawl to reveal the tiny child she was carrying, “she came out before I got to the hospital… please” the woman said, staring down at the child who seemed to be in a troubled sleep. “there’s no space for two,....” madman koo trailed off turning to look inside “then take her…. I’d find somewhere else and come back when the storm is gone..” the woman said hastily shoving the child into Madam Koo’s hand before she could protest.

She knew she was lying, Madame Koo knew she was lying, no one had ever survived a level 9 sky breaker but here she was talking about coming back for her child, madame koo held the child to her chest and shut the door immediately, the woman could hear the bolt mechanism lock the door in place, stepping away from the door, she looked south to see the storm heading her way, it wasn’t far off at all and she knew she couldn’t outrun it, her child was safe. No. Her children were safe, that’s what she wanted to believe, she looked up and the sky was deep grey, almost black she would have never imagined that this was what her life was going to become, she backed away from the building completely into the open space she had just run from, standing still and waiting, letting tranquility wash over her as she remembered every beautiful memory in her lifetime which were a handful, she had closed her eyes but she could feel it first slowly and distant, she knew in an instant it will pick her from where she stood. At that moment all she thought about was KIRA.
