Secret Chapters (The Alpha Contract)
"I read the entire Alpha Contract on Goodbooks. I was mesmerized. There were errors in the text, but not enough to interfere with the story. You definitely need a more alert editor, though. I somehow got lost between the Blair/Jenson situation and the Jenson/Raven catastrophe. I probably need to go back and reread it because it seems to have jumped far too suddenly. I also had a hard time shaking the thought that Silas was taking over packs, and when Dane, Damian, and Eric met him, I expected violence around every turn. It took a long time for me to stop thinking that even though Dane had verified early on that Silas was not Alpha of the city pack. But was that your writing or me losing concentration at an important point? It was probably the latter. I love the story and am eager to start on the rest of the book. I got sidetracked on the Secret Chapters ( really interesting stuff). "

"The additional chapters were great. I had questions about certain chapters in the 6 book but these were great and answered a lot of questions I enjoyed reading about Raven- as she slowly get a grasp on her journey in the after life. AND, the information regarding the moon goddess was ‘disappointing but ‘oh well’. I loved the story about DANE when he 1st meant Neah. Answered some questions I had while reading their initial meeting. Neah’s : 1st and 2nd Christmas was a heartwarming touch to her relationships with the Blacks. "

"Taylor’s West’s writing is addictive to read. These chapters are extra support to the 6 part books. It explains so much and the individual POV’s clarify a lot. The entire story is beyond intense, it’s hard to put down. I would get lost in the story and often would glance at the clock and it would be 2AM. I haven’t read a story like this in a long time where putting it down was so hard to do. Every chapter I read, every plot twist or turn, I just wanted to read more. She gives great detail to her characters and I felt as though I was standing in Black Shadow watching the story unfold like a movie. I haven’t enjoyed a book this much in a long time if ever.
