Chapter 1- the unexpected meet

"Ugh! I want to go out, dad! This is not fair!" Zara protested, crossing her arms as she glare at her father.

Her father sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose." Zara, there is a high risk for you. You know what danger your putting yourself in, right?"

"Ugh! Fine!" She snapped before storming into her room, slamming the door shut. *damn it! I cant even live like a normal girl!*

Frustration burned her chest as she paced the floor. She clenched her fist, feeling like a prisoner in her own home.

Zara stood on her balcony, the cool night breeze playing with her loose strands of her hair as she took small sips of her drink. Her sharp eyes scanned the quiet streets below, her heart craving the thrill of breaking the rules.

Across from her, Ahmed leaned casually against his balcony railing, watching her with with an amused smirk. His sharp gaze didn't miss the way her eyes darted around - She was up to something.

*Typical princess*, he thought. He had spent years reading people, and Zara? She was like an open book to him.

Suddenly, she turned on her heels, excitement flashing in her eyes. Without a second thought, she grabbed a rope from her bedside drawer, tied it securely to the balcony railing, and threw it over. Adrenaline rushed through her viens as she gripped the rope tightly, her heart pounding against her ribs.

Ahmed arched a brow. *oh, she's really doing it.* His smirk deepened as he watched her descend. *Bold move, princess. Let's see how far you get.*

As soon as her feet touched the ground, she took off, slipping into the shadows of the dimly lit street. The night was silent except for faint hum of passing cars in the distance. The thrill of freedom sent a rush of excitement through her viens

-until a cold shiver ran down her spine.

Her body tensed

Someone was watching her.

Zara forced herself to stay calm, but her finger It chef towards gun strapped to her thigh. Her heart pounded, her instincts screaming at her. Slowly, she reached for the weapon, her breath hitching as she turned around - only to be met with a towering figure.

A gasp caught her throat.

He stood there, tall and unshaken, his presence suffocating the air around her. His black coat hugged his broad shoulders, and the dim street lights reflected off his navy-blue eyes, thier golden- brown flecks shimmering like molten fire. His clean- shaved jaw was sharp enough to cut, and the ghost of a smirk played on his lips.

Her pulse spiked.

His voice broke the silence like a low growl."oh, look who's here? Princess Zara, all alone with a gun? Looks like someone was sneaking out". The smugness in his voice made her blood boil.

Her caution burned into irritation. She squared her shoulder, gripping the gun tighter as she glared at him. "Yeah? So what, you bastard ?! What are YOU doing here ?!".

Ahmed chuckled darkly, his head tilting slightly as he took a slow step forward. " No need to be so fiesty, princess." His voice was laced with amusement, teasing yet dangerous. "I dont bite.......unless I want to."

Her breath hitched, but she masked it with a glare.

"I'm here to take some air", he continued, his gaze flickring to her gun before meeting her eyes again. " And look at that - your bratty behaviour hasn't changed one bit. Huh?"

Her grip tightened on the weapon, fury bubbling in her chest. But Before she could fire back with another insult, a familiar voice BROKED the moment.

"Miss Zara !"

Her bodygaurd came running, his face pale with urgency. "Your father is about to check Your room! He wants to see if you're still awake or asleep!"

Panic flashed in her eyes. She turned towards the  mansion, her mind racing.

Ahmed leaned against a nearby wall, crossing his  arms as he watched her unravel. His smirk was damn near infuriating. "Damn. Well poor princess has to go back to her golden cage before daddy catches her", he mused, shaking his head with mock pity. " tsk, tsk. Better luck next time jaan."

Her jaw clenched, her glare burning into him but she had no time to argue. With one last scowl, she spun around and ran back toward the mansion.

Ahmed let out a low chuckle, watching her disappear. This is going to be fun.
