Super Interesting Story

"Thrillers have always been a favorite of mine, and it's hard for me to find a story that I truly enjoy. This author did a great job immediately pulling readers in with the first chapter. The plot is tense, and unpredictable {in a good way}. The characters are the same way, which for a story like this keeps it entertaining. The main character in this story isn't like a lot of MC's you read about and I didn't know whether to cheer or frown upon her success lol. While I enjoyed the characters and the drama, I wish there had been a bit more details in the stores/flashbacks related to certain characters with strained relationships. I hope that makes sense as I do not want to spoil it for anyone. I definitely wanted to read more about the deeper reasoning behind the MC's mixed emotions towards the person in her life. I feel like the details got lost in the excitement of the rising action and climax of the plot leaving a few holes. I also recall being a bit confused on who Bastian was to June in the first few chapters; some writing hinted at a romantic relationship. I love how the character names were withheld at first, that type of descriptive writing and tension building is what I love about writing. I would just be careful with tone when introducing the characters readers may relate to. This was a pretty cool story. The psychological turn it took had me on the edge of my seat. It had me thinking hard, and honestly psychoanalyzing the characters. Again, can't share much without spoiling and wish I had someone to further discuss those thoughts.But overall, great writing!
