Chapter 1
Marie was only 18 years old when she decided to get married but it wasnt the typical way of asking for the hand in marriage. She went through with it. Marie married Justin. Marie moved from California to Texas, it was a drastic change but Marie was excited. Texas was short lived as they moved to New Mexico.
As time flew by Marie became pregnant with their first daughter and life was just amazing. Justin took Marie to all her doctor’s appointments since Marie didnt drive. As time went by the problems started to arise. The accusations began the Marie was talking and seeing other men but that was not true. She depended on her Justin to take her places. While she was home she would rarely go outside except to take out the trash and check the mailbox and would ho back inside. She always had the blinds and curtains closed and when she had them open Justin would yell at her to close them and that people from the street could see inside their home.
Pregnancy flew by super quick and they welcomed Stephanie, she weighted 6 pounds 12 ounces and everything seemed normal but it was just the beginning of more problems. Marie seemed to be alone in everything regarding little Stephanie. She had no help from Justin even if he was doing nothing he didn’t help. If Stephanie was crying next ro him and Marie was cleaning or cooking he would tell to stop whatever she doing and get the baby, that it would wait. Later he would complain when the house wasn’t clean or if the food wasn’t done. Marie would tell him “well you told to stop doing what I was doing and get the baby”
The arguments never ended. It was always the same thing. All while Marie never drove anywhere as she didnt know how plus at the time they only had one car. So it was impossible for her to go to the store or anywhere for that fact.
When little Stephanie was almost one, Marie started to learning to drive as Justin decided it would be best should an emergency arise and she need to go somewhere. But they still had one car. Justin saw it as having a designated driver, which was his plan at first.
Later Justin was able to buy another car and the real problems started to intensify. The cheating accusations got worse whenever Marie stepped out to go to the store or the doctor’s office. Even though Marie kept telling him that she was not doing anything wrong and she only went to where ever she needed to go and back home.
Marie was getting tired of everything but all she could do was think of little Stephanie and how she couldn’t let her little one grow up without her father and she would stay. Hoping things would change and it would but something always triggered the accusations all over again
As time went by, Justin decided it was time to move as work was dying done and he thought he deserved better. Marie obeyed and began packing the few things they had. They moved to Texas, specifically San Antonio.
