Mikyle Redcliff is the heir to a great household, the Dukedom of Redcliff. As a talented knight and noble, he has everything. Until it's taken from him at the hands of the corrupt king of Beldrand. Charged for treason among a slew of false crimes, fabricated to destroy his household, Mikyle's family is killed, his wealth confiscated, and lands handed out to the other greedy nobles of the kingdom. With no proof of their innocence, it seemed to be the perfect lie, save for one mistake - the king chose to spare his life. Having lost everything important to him and banished from the kingdom, Mikyle seeks retribution. His only hope, rumors of a band gathered to resist the tyrannical king. With their aid, he may be able to reclaim that which was taken from him. With fire in his eyes, Mikyle sets out for the resistance. He wants change. He wants justice. And more importantly, he wants revenge.
