Heart attack and the Beginning
Soniya is a regular joe working a 9 to 5. But she talks to herself a lot. Today she’s in a college reunion house party, and she’s sweating - a lot.
“Where did you learn all of that?”
Soniya was lying on the floor with her arms crossed tightly against her chest. She was sweating profusely and her eyes were shut. She was talking to herself. Blabbering, not talking. The guy watching her was studying medicine. And he couldn’t believe his eyes. Nor could anyone in the house party when they got to know what they had just seen.
“You revived yourself from a heart attack, just now!”, that guy told her when she stood up like nothing had happened and the party started where it had halted. Public memory is short - everyone got back to their own places, wondering what was it that they saw just now. Soniya had collapsed on the floor, the med guy had quickly checked her pulse and told everyone that her heart was not functioning - so did the Fitbit on her wrist. But then she crossed her arms, stretched her legs, stayed still for a while, talked to herself, and got up wiping her brow as if nothing had happened. “You really are a freak”, said Josh - her college mate who’s house party she was in. “You CPR’d yourself and got up instantly! That’s like making love with yourself lol.” He, and everyone else, laughed it off and the party continued.
The voices in her head were talking to her again. But this time, they’d given her an irrefutable evidence of their existence.
“Do you want another demonstration?”, asked the most superior voice controlling her. “No!”, she said to him and cussed her shrink who’d written it off as Paranoia.
How did she know that he was the most superior voice. “I’ve already told you about your origins and why you’ve been planted on this slave earth. You are one of us. Whether you want to believe it or not. It’s high time that you accept it and move on to a better world. That’s what you were always destined to be. A test space here that would be rectified once the testing was done. Come on now, don’t be such a sissy. After all, the blood in your veins is far more superior. And no one here knows what your blood group is, either.”
Soniya had written off the voices in her head as some bullshit story that her brain had cooked up. But now, she was thinking about them again.
“Don’t you call me bullshit. I can read everything in your mind, remember that, you minion”. Said the condescending voice. And she had solid proof to believe him - the most superior voice - now.
So what was the story that he’d told her, about her origin and parallel earths?….
