1. Morn'o Halldel
In the town of Lancel, there lived a powerful blacksmith by the name of Morn'o Halldel. But he wasn't always the smith that the town had grown to rely on. He spent the majority of his life as a thief, going from one band of criminals to the next. His thievery led to many sticky situations.
As Morn'o worked the iron against the anvil, he watched as a young woman, with long, braided brunette hair and a beautiful blue dress, walked across the street. He was reminded of one such situation as she slowly meandered through the street.
He had been working the caravan routes with two of his closest colleagues. On one of their days canvasing the area, a caravan with a beautiful young maiden came trotting through the dirty, wooded area that was so easily attacked. His friends were poised to attack, but Morn'o was so mesmerized by her beauty that he was unable to move. This caused him to miss his cue to strike the wagon driver with his tried and true blunt arrow (murder was above these crooks) and his friends dove in without their usual set up. The driver struck up more speed, knocking his friends prone. But it didn't end there. Once the wagon was a safe distance away, the driver pulled the horses to a halt and two royal guards emerged from the back.
Stunned from the horses, the guards easily took Morn'o's colleagues prisoner, but not before he foolishly attempted to save them. The trained men made quick work of Morn'o. The guards hauled him up to the wagon where Morn'o was able to gaze upon the woman once more, this time much closer. He had never seen such a beautiful woman. But such beauty only masked a hateful scorn that would see him face certain death. She had no interest in his rugged good looks. Luckily, Morn'o and his friends had been in the custody of the law before and were keen on escape.
