"From a male perspective this is a stark cross section of the injustice that lies beneath the romantic surface of many 3rd world countries. A story with impact well presented by the author who gives the impression personal experience of such places features between the well written lines of a controversial subject. In truth I feel I am not qualified to give an opinion on the topic, but the author has done well to expose yet another delicate facet of discrimination and subornation that exists in many Asian countries. Well done. (I am wondering if the main characters in this tale would have been familiar with the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs.)"
