The Return to Eryndale
Lila arrives in the foggy, secluded town of Eryndale after years of absence. The town feels colder and more desolate than she remembers, with an eerie silence hanging over the cobblestone streets. She returns to her grandmother’s old house, a creaking Victorian home filled with memories and shadows. As she unpacks, she begins to hear faint whispers carried by the wind. At first, she dismisses them as her imagination, but they grow louder as twilight falls. The whispers seem to come from the garden, where a strange patch of crimson soil glows faintly in the fading light. Lila feels a pull toward it, but a sense of dread keeps her away. That night, she dreams of her grandmother standing in the garden, her mouth moving as if to speak, but no sound comes out.
