Born in Damour, Lebanon, on July 4, 1964, Elie Saab discovered his love for fashion at the age of nine, designing dresses for his sisters. At 18, he launched his own label in Beirut during the Lebanese Civil War, showcasing resilience and creativity. Saab’s signature style blends Western silhouettes with intricate Middle Eastern details, earning him global recognition. In 1997, he became the first non-Italian designer to present at Rome Fashion Week, paving his way to international fame. His dedication to craftsmanship led to his acceptance into the prestigious Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, making him the first Lebanese designer to achieve this honor. Today, his creations grace red carpets and royal ceremonies, reflecting his journey from humble beginnings to the heights of haute couture.
