Sapphire

"I am not used to reading phantasy or science fiction stories, but this one struck me because of the way a whole new world is created in not so many (yet elaborate) lines. Amelia Jane is able to evoke an intriguing atmosphere that sucks the reader into a fascinating dream. You can feel the threat of what will happen from the very first lines and the cruel climax grabs you by the throat. The second part of the story shows how well the writer is able to switch to a completely opposite environment. The effect on the reader is soothing and pleasant. I liked the open, yet promising ending. Reading the story felt like watching an enchanting film full of imaginary creatures and unexpected surroundings. I am amazed by the richness of her vocabulary, her language."
