For those interested, Stephen Cole’s The Wereling trilogy was a major influence for the werewolf lore and the writing in this series, at least as far as Zayden’s concerned. I first read those books as a teen, and they burrowed deep into my subconscious. That YA trilogy is not to be confused with Steve Feasey’s Wereling series (also known as Changeling in the UK).

As this is the third book in a series, I would prefer that you read the previous two books/novellas, Moonlight and Stagefright, first before reading this one, Shadowrealm. If you haven’t read them already, that is. Anyway, please enjoy.

Summary

It's been a week since Killian accidentally bit Zayden and turned his bandmate into a werewolf. That, and claimed him as his mate. While they settle into their new relationship, Killian tries to help Zayden through being a wereling: a werewolf that retains humanity even when transformed. All Zayden knows, however, is that being a wereling means he can hold onto the part of him that hates what he's become.
