Prologue
The world was divided in two. Droughts and wars between regions turned the old continent into a hostile and almost sterile world. With a very low percentage of healthy adult men and many families reduced to almost extinction.
Many fled to the new continent in search of prosperity, fertile land, and peace, but the anarchy and poor distribution of wealth caused by humanity there also generated hostility, and the promise of a better future in that other half of the world fades for the new generations.
Tired of famines, confrontations, and deaths, the inhabitants of the old continent decided to force peace, laying down their weapons and compelling the great rulers to abandon their ambition for power. The survivors want peace and to rebuild their lives.
A new order emerges, and the council of sages swears to serve the people and no longer the nobles, to abolish corruption, and to restore peace to the people.
Amidst a new Exodus, people seek to repopulate the old continent where laws and customs are stronger than ever in a desperate quest to repopulate the world.
Mohamed’s family wants to reunite with their old friends’ family in that land, with the promise of a better life for their children.
