Unspoken Desires

Characters:

Agastya (25 years old) – Detached, unreadable, and dangerously irresistible.

Sonia (22 years old) – Hopelessly in love with him, trapped in a silent battle between longing and restraint.

Current Situation:

For the past two years, Sonia had loved Agastya. And he knew. He always knew. Yet, he never acknowledged it—never gave her the space to confess, never allowed her emotions to exist beyond fleeting glances and stolen moments.

He wasn’t cruel. He wasn’t kind either.

He simply never let her close enough to try.

But tonight… tonight, she was done waiting.

Midnight Confession....

The apartment was wrapped in stillness, the kind that felt heavier in the dead of the night. Sonia stood outside his door, her heart hammering, her fingers curling into the fabric of her oversized shirt. She shouldn't be here. She shouldn’t be doing this.

But how much longer could she pretend?

Every single day, she existed in the spaces between them—watching, yearning, hoping for something that never came. Agastya’s world was built with walls too high, too unbreakable, and she was tired of standing outside them.

Not anymore.

Tonight, she would step inside.

She reached for the doorknob, hesitating for only a second before twisting it open. The door creaked softly.

The dim glow of the moon seeped in through the half-open window, casting silver shadows across the room. And there he was.

Agastya.

He lay there, his body sprawled against the sheets, his bare chest rising and falling with steady breaths. The blanket had slipped down to his waist, revealing the sharp definition of muscle, the inked lines of a tattoo she had never seen up close before.

Her breath caught.

Even in sleep, he felt untouchable. Distant. Just like always.

But for the first time, Sonia wasn’t going to hold back.

She stepped forward, slowly, carefully, as if afraid to shatter the fragile moment. The closer she got, the heavier the air became, thick with the tension she had been carrying for far too long.

She climbed into bed beside him, her heart racing with forbidden desire.

The warmth of his body enveloped her instantly, sending a shiver down her spine. His scent—musk, faint traces of cologne, and something inherently Agastya—filled her senses, making her head spin.

She barely shifted closer when he stirred, a deep exhale escaping his lips.

Sonia froze.

For a second, she thought he was awake, but then his breathing evened out again. The movement had made their bodies brush together, and the heat of his bare skin against hers felt dangerously intoxicating.

She should stop. She should leave.

But she didn’t.

Instead, her fingers hovered just above his arm, aching to touch, to trace the sharp lines of his body. Her breath hitched when he shifted again, this time turning slightly toward her, his face inches from hers.

So close.

His lips were slightly parted, his lashes casting soft shadows over his cheekbones. He looked so different like this—unguarded, almost gentle. The Agastya she knew was cold, distant, unreadable. But right now?
