Olivia's Changes Over the Fall
Another school year at Sliver Oak Academy, aka SOA. Every year is the same, there's really nothing different, not even a single person I like. School's just really REALLY boring, but living in a wealthy family means you get more time off. I'm very lucky I'm on of the wealthiest family in all of Sliver Oak. "Alright class, turn to page 3 and we'll begin." Oh and did I tell you we don't introduce ourselves to each other, and we HAVE to just manage to know everyone because we do studies that are high grade level. For example, when you come in first grade, you will need to learn multiplication, second grade, division and fractions, and a lot more complicated stuff. "Olivia, can you read the first paragraph about the AP European History introduction please?" I stood up and read, "The AP Program offers three history courses: AP European History, AP
United States History, and AP World History Modern. All three history
courses focus on the development of historical thinking while learning
required course content. Themes foster deep analysis by making
connections and comparisons across different topics within the course.
Each AP History course corresponds to a typical introductory college
history course." After finishing, I sat back down," Okay good job Olivia, would you please take this note to Mrs. Jonnason please? Or you can pick someone else to do it." "I mean... Sure, I'll help."" Okay thank you so much. Anyways, while she's at that, read page 4-7 and grab the worksheet over here and answer the question without the book. You may begin." I was not surprised, but in fact, you may be, because y'all don't do this on the first day of school so yea. "Pss, Olivia! Over here!" "... Umm do I kno- wait never mind, but what are you doing? You know if you get caught, you're gonna be in so much trouble right?" "Yes but I just got here sooooo, they can't punish me." "Did you not read this year's rulebook or something? Did you hit your head somewhere and lost the rulebook part of the memory? Are yo-" "No! I didn't! Goodness sake! What is up with you?" "Violet, chill." "You know me, so that is a hard no." "Well off I go then!" "Where?" "To Mrs. Jonnason's room, Miss Pepper gave this to me to give to her." "Okay, but before you go... Can I read the note please? Please, I won't do anything with it, well, I never have done anything bad after I got here so... Please?" "Well, uh, I can't." "Okay just a quick peak." "Ugh, fine. Hurry though because I can't stay long out here." she nodded and read the note. There, it said:
To Mrs. Jonnason,
Make sure you tell the other teachers who don't know that Oliver's coming, to buy more books for him, and find a empty locker.
From, Miss Pepper.
I couldn't read Violet's expression, but it looked like she is happy, maybe excited. "Okay I need to hurry, I can't have homework tonight because I'm going to go to the beach and the aquarium again tomorrow. So bye! See you sometime later!" I rushed away, and went to Mrs. Jonnason's room and gave the note to her, I had to stay until she finished writing back to Miss Pepper. "Okay Olivia, would you give this to Mrs. Ellis, and this to Mrs. Bennet please?" "Well... I could but I'm gonna have to finish the five pages of the history book tonight... And I'm going to a trip tomorrow. So sorry I have to hurry, but if I just need to give them the note, then leave, I could maybe do that." "Okay so you can take it over?" "Okay, yea, I can." "Alright, thanks! Here's a note to Miss Pepper to tell her why you where a bit late. Thanks again." "Yea, No problem." so I just delivered the notes, went back to class, an did the most of the work I could. Ring! The bell rang, time for P.E. We had to change for P.E. and we did dodgeball. It's not normal, because you need to play sports and catch most of the ball in order to be on a team. If you're not on of them, you will either do study Hall, or you can practice other sports. At SOA, things are difficult. For example, if you want to play sports, you have to be skilled to play. This school has very, VERY hard practice and stuff. The try outs are a total nightmare, I can't even explain. Luckily, I was accepted to basketball. Though I didn't want to play, Violet, Chloe, and Amelia managed to get me to play with them. I did the try outs and I'm pretty surprised that I made the team. By the way, try outs start in first grade through twelve grade (we don't have preschool and kindergarten because it's at another school for you to start). But I didn't feel like playing so I just did study Hall. To be honest with you, I actually wished I didn't have to go to the beach and the aquarium tomorrow, but I'm just gonna have to deal with it. Living in a rich family can mean this, you may think I'm lucky, well, I've been there a million times now so it's getting boring. Oh! There is one thing I forgot to ask Violet, what was on the note. Now that I thought of it, it's not getting out of my mind. I gotta ask her, I thought, but will she even tell me? Now I should just ask her, I mean, she's in study hall too. So I did, "Hey Violet, what did the note say?" "Well if I tell you, will you even believe me?" okay so I don't trust her sometimes so yea, but whatever. "Yea I trust you." "Okay so the note said... There's a guy named Oliver coming to this school... Now what did you get for number 38 on the history worksheet?" "I got November 11th, but screw that. So what you were saying is... "" Girl is that a 'I don't know if I can trust you or not' face?"" No, no, no! It's you said there is gonna be a new guy named..."" Oh, so you didn't listen to half of it, okay I said there will be a new guy named Oliver coming to this school about... about next week." "Oh my goodness! Why are there basically only more boys coming in the middle of the year!" she shrugged and said," Well I think I know the Oliver they're talking about and boy is he hot. You're gonna like him, for sure."" Well count all the times I even had a crush through this ten years here, zero, so it's gonna be hard. And you know I'm the pickiest girl in all of Silver Oak." "I bet you'll like him, I bet 500.""Okay I bet 1,000 that I won't like him." "Okay bet!".
