Chapter 1-Family

When Maggie was a child, she looked up to her parents for being in the British army. Her parents are respected and everyone in the family calls them heroes of a lifetime. Even though Maggie didn’t spend a ton of time with her parents, she did spend a majority of it reading about military medicine and what she wanted to do when she got older. By the time Maggie graduated from high school, she was at the top of her class with straight A’s and also became a part of the honor’s society.

1 day before Maggie’s high school graduation, her parents flew in from Israel to see her and congratulate her. Maggie hears a knock on her bedroom door and decides to answer.

Maggie: Mom, Dad, you’re both home! When did you guys get here?

Lang: We came home from deployment early and decided to see you before your graduation.

Jacob: Yes, mother is right. We miss you and your sibling’s so much.

Maggie: We missed you guys too. Did you guys bring back any gifts?

Jacob: As a matter of fact, we did. Would you like to see?

Maggie: Of course, dad.

Jacob: One guitar for you and one t-shirt for your brother Hunter, another shirt for your sister Mary, one wallet for your sister Nichole and one beanie for your brother Troy.

Maggie & Troy, Mary, Nichole, Hunter: Thanks mom and dad, cool gifts!

Jacob & Lang: You guys are very welcome.

When Maggie got done looking at her gift from her parents, she goes to her bedroom and begins to get ready for her graduation the next morning.
