Chapter 1

Within the depths of a castle in a secluded lands, a tall vampire oversees the lands through the window of his council room. A vampire male with black hair and pale skin, with the dark robes that conceals his body, owning a mustache and a beard.

His eyes peered through the glass cold and impassive, for he had just given the humans of Wallachia one year for them to repent for taking away his wife. All because they cannot fathom her way of studying science and accuse her as a witch. Humans and their gullible minds, this is why he cannot stand them.

One year he gave them, and he will unleash hell on them soon.

“What is the meaning of this, Dracula?” came the voice of a female, and he seemed to pause. He turns, and comes face to face with her.

A female vampire with flowing red-copper hair and crimson eyes, her skin pale as the snow as her lips are painted black. She’s also wearing black eyeshadow, bringing her eyes out more. Her clothing consists of a dark red gothic Victorian dress with black lace and accents, wearing black gloves that reach to her elbows. She is wearing black heeled boots beneath.

His eyes widened in shock, looking up to the woman. “Y-Yelena? Why are you here?” He questioned with an uncharacteristic look of fear on his face.

“What is this I hear about you committing war against humanity?” She questioned him. From the view of his council, they could feel something off with the woman.

Why did Dracula look like he saw a ghost?

Carmilla frowns immensely. “And who the hell are you?” She demanded with disrespect.

“Watch how you speak to my lady, wench.” another voice called out. It was a woman, only her appearance was obscured by a black cloak.

“You dare speak to me like that!?” the white-haired vampiress hisses toward the cloaked woman in disgust. Then she realized that the woman reeked of human. “A human, how did you get in here?!”

“Enough, Carmilla! Do not anger Yelena any further by threatening the human!” Dracula raises his voice towards her.

The woman takes off her cloak revealing herself to be a young woman of Japanese descent only to have brown skin, long black hair and glowing purple eyes. Lips covered in a dark purple lipstick. She has a feminine but well toned figure as well as a sizable bust.

She is wearing an off-white dress shirt with a lace pattern to it, black pants decorated with a purple rosé embroidery on the left leg and black corset along with black heeled boots. She’s also wearing black gloves and to complete the outfit, she wore two cross earrings.

For weaponry, she was carrying two twin swords with a dagger pouch strapped to her left thigh. The woman bows before Dracula in respect.

“Forgive me, Lord Dracula, for talking out of turn but I won’t tolerate any disrespect towards my lady.” she says to him.

“Forgiven.” Dracula responds to her.

Though he has grown to despise humans, the only one exceptions were his human wife Lisa who is now dead and the human with Yelena. Only because he does not want to anger her for mistreating the human woman.

“What?! How can you-” Carmilla began to protest.

“Hold your tongue. The fact neither of you do not recognize Yelena could have been the end of you all.” Dracula remarks towards his Council, noticing that neither of them appeared to know Yelena at all. But honestly he can’t blame them, because Yelena is a recluse and hardly ever interacts with her own kind.

The woman returns to Yelena’s side while keeping an eye on the council just in case they try anything.

“It’s understandable since I barely interact with other vampires so of course not everyone is aware of me. But if you really want to know who I am.... I’m the true Queen of Vampires.” Yelena announced calmly.

Needless to say, the generals and Carmilla herself looked at her in disbelief and shock.

“The Queen of Vampires?!” Cho comments in shock, a Japanese vampire woman from the nation of Japan.

“There is one who reigns even over Lord Dracula?” Sharma, an Indian vampire remarks in equal shock.

“That cannot be true.” Godbrand remarks, since he has never heard of a vampire that basically reigns over all vampire kind.

“It is true. If Lord Dracula has shown high respect for my lady, then that should have been a sign that it is very much serious.” the woman tells the Viking vampire with a mild glare on her face. Yelena holds the woman’s hand.

“It’s fine, Ryoko.” she says softly making the woman somewhat blush nearly breaking face before turning stoic.

“I normally don’t get involved in your affairs, Dracula, as long as you and your army don’t mess with me along with the humans. But I can’t look away from this given you’re willing to commit genocide but I think it’s more than that.” Yelena says firmly.

“You would protest my wish to obliterate the humans?” Dracula questions her, gaining a steely look in his eyes.

“I offer my condolences for what has become of your wife.” Yelena tells him genuinely, even though she chooses to ignore the fact Carmilla discreetly snorted at that. All vampires do only see humans as food sources and vermin.

“But to call genocide on the people over her death? Your anger and hatred is justified, but that is not the answer. Humans are hypocrites and cruel, that is true but not all of them are the same. You cannot drag in the humans who had nothing to do with her death.” Yelena tells him with her eyes being narrowed.

“They still followed along with it! She helped them without hesitation and how do they repay her but burn her on a stake!” He says angrily, as his voice was wrecked with grief.

“It is not because they believed she deserved to die. It is because of the control of the churches that have been threatened. Humans nowadays turn to religion and the teachings for prayers of safety and wellbeing and for the way of living wealthy in life. When one offers science to understand nature around us and for healing, that alone endangers the church. Greed and jealousy can easily influence humans who hunger for power and control. They can be just as influential as well. You should have simply just kill the ones who did wrong to your wife. But to kill the entire human race? What good would that do? That will not bring her back.” she tells the grieving vampire with a glare on her face.

Then she pauses for a moment, as she gazes at him.

“Unless you want to die yourself?” Yelena asks him.

“It matters not what I desire, besides making the humans feel my wrath.” Dracula remarks angrily. But of course, Yelena can see through that what she said is exactly what he is aiming for as well. At his point, she knew talking him out of this is not going to happen.

She simply closes her eyes, and sighs through her nose.

“Very well. Do what you must. But remember this, I will not and won’t ever support you. I even won’t hesitate to raise a hand against you or your army when you had gone too far with your genocide.” Yelena remarks with a stoic tone, before she turns on her heels to make her way out of the room and the castle with Ryoko following her.

The doors had opened instantly due to her telekinesis, and they closed behind the leaving pair with a harsh slam that echoes the massive building.

“My lady?” Ryoko says to the Vampiress with a lot of worry on her face.

“I’ll be fine, Ryoko. Though I am disappointed with him on one hand, but on the other... I cannot blame him. Lisa was his world. The one person who sees right through him and doesn’t fear him at all. ” Yelena tells her, while boring an unreadable expression on her face.

“So then... are we to allow him to do as he wishes?” Ryoko questions her.

“Let him blow out some steam. But after that, when he and his forces show no sign of stopping then we’ll intervene.” Yelena comments to her. But then a sly smile forms on her black-painted lips.

“Then again... we can let a Belmont go after his ass. If they survived that incident years ago, that is.” she adds as an afterthought.

Ryoko’s eyes widened in shock.

“A Belmont? They actually still exist? Didn’t the church excommunicate them? Honestly to be frank with you, my lady, that’s a foolish move on their part but then again religious fanatics always manage to screw things up for the common man. Those poor people have no idea how much danger they are in. Although I’m surprised he gave them a year, and that’s Dracula being nice.” Ryoko remarks.

“Well... perhaps it was out of whims in hopes the folks are decent enough to apologize and truly repent. Or give them time to flee for their own safety if they wished so. But I doubt the religious fools would bother and call it a farce.” Yelena simply remarks, as they are now making their way down the stairs reaching the outside through the main entrance.

She then hums, remembering Ryoko’s words about the Belmont.

“Yes, the Belmont Clan still exists. I can somehow... sense a surviving member somewhere out there. Perhaps that’s just a vampire thing of being able to tell whether its danger is killed or not.” Yelena remarks with a jokey smirk towards her human.

“Of course, the Belmonts are the boogeymen of the supernatural in Wallachia. I almost took that bitch’s head off, but I didn’t want to disrespect Lord Dracula like that.” Ryoko replied.

“Don’t worry. If things get out of hand, they’ll fall to the hands of their greatest enemy. Just need to be patient.” Yelena remarks with a chuckle.

Though she is the queen of vampires, she is quite indifferent to them. Vampires can respect her if they wish, but as long as they don’t get on her bad side then it’s fine. Same with the humans, since she never bothered them.

“Well they don’t know that I’m a hunter myself, my lady.” Ryoko remarks with a blush.

“That’s good. They won’t know what you’re capable of until that time comes.” Yelena smiles at that. She lifts a hand to move Ryoko’s luscious raven locks aside, making the human blush at her gesture.

Doing so allowed her to see her exposed neck, and a mark of what looks like a yin-yang symbol out in the open, with hues of white and dark grey coloring her skin from the mark.

“Plus, Dracula isn’t the only one who took in a human lover.” Yelena smiles even more, allowing her vampire fangs to peek out on her bottom lip.

“And I saw those pigs leering at you. I don’t like you being leered at as if you’re a piece of meat.” Ryoko says with her cheeks puffed out.

“Oh my dear.” Yelena chuckles, pulling Ryoko close to her by the waist and having her nose rub against her neck. Taking in that delicious natural scent her human lover owns, and the fact her blood is tempting her to take a drink.

“Their heads would come off faster than they even think about trying to make any advancements on me.” Yelena reassures her, now both of them wander through the woods from walking down the dirt trails from the open fields leading to the castle.

Ryoko smiles softly. “Are you thirsty Lady Yelena? Go ahead and take a drink.” Ryoko says, offering her consent.

Of course, she was a little too eager on the offer.

“Let me know when you’re feeling dizzy.” Yelena tells her, and Ryoko hums in acknowledgment as Yelena embraces her and she returns it. Yelena kisses her neck first, before she goes and sinks her fangs into her flesh.

Ryoko moans, her face becoming flushed from feeling Yelena’s fangs in her neck. Yelena is just in the zone as she drinks her lover’s blood. Her blood is very rich and almost has a subtle sweet tinge to it.

To a vampire’s sense of taste, of course.

Ryoko was in a rush but she started to get dizzy. “My Lady, I’m starting to get dizzy...” she remarks, rubbing her back gently.

That snapped Yelena out from her trance, and she instantly withdrew her fangs. She licks her neck to heal up the puncture wounds, before placing a kiss in that exact spot before moving away.

“Who would’ve thought blood drinking can get easily intoxicating when the blood is too good?” Yelena comments, while licking the blood from the corner of her lips clean. Ryoko then leans over to kiss Yelena, not caring about tasting her own blood.

The vampire queen isn’t surprised by this, as this wasn’t the first time Ryoko would kiss and not care about the blood. Even though she drank her blood previously, she was mindful to wait until she’s kissable again.

Though along the way, Ryoko just didn’t care.

She kisses her back, as the human is being careful to not accidentally prick herself due to her fangs. She still cannot wrap her mind around the fact that she is in a relationship with a vampire, the race she kills as part of her profession.

But here, she’s in love with a vampire. A vampiress who is the queen of all vampires, no less.

Both of them separated the kiss, though in truth Yelena was the one who broke the kiss. “Come on, let’s head home.” she tells her.

“Let’s have a bath together, my lady~” Ryoko suggested with a purr towards her mistress.

Yelena gives her a knowing look.

“So you can get lost in paradise?” Yelena questions her. And obviously, that phrase means a certain something.

But she is not up against it if that is what Ryoko is truly after than sharing a bath simply.

“My whatever do you mean, My Lady?” Ryoko says, tilting her head innocently. Yelena says nothing, but Ryoko squeals at feeling her tushy being smacked before being grabbed by a handful.

“Don’t play innocent, kitty.” Yelena tells her.

Ryoko pouts. “M-My Lady, no need to be so grabby!” she remarks with a whimper.

“Oh, you don’t see that everyday.” a voice called out, and the two women turned to face a man who looks to be in his mid to late twenties with short brown hair, blue eyes with a scar over his right eye.

He has a stocky build wearing a black and gray uniform with yellow details. Ryoko’s eyes widened in shock.

“Belmont!” She squealed in shock, her face turned red in embarrassment and gently swatted her lover’s hand from her bottom.

“I thought I smelled a dog nearby.” Yelena comments, before noticing he’s wearing a black cloak that has tan fur attached to it.

“Oh, that explains it.” Yelena adds.

“Is that supposed to be an insult?” The man raised an eyebrow. The vampiress just shrugs her shoulders.

“Ever heard of sarcasm, Belmont?” Yelena questions him.

At least I wasn’t caught grabbing a woman’s ass.” Trevor deadpanned towards her.

“At least I’m not the one binge drinking booze.” Yelena shoots back at him, taking a jab.

“Bitch.”

“Shit head.”

Both of them casually insulted each other. Ryoko would normally not let people get away with insulting Yelena, but this is one of those rare times that she let it go. Only because there’s some civil between the two.

A Belmont makes peace with Yelena as long as she doesn’t bother them or the humans. And Yelena returns the treatment.

“Well she does have a point, you reek of booze.” Ryoko remarks to the Belmont.

“Although it’s great to meet a fellow vampire hunter. I’m Ryoko Kuromiya. It’s a pleasure to be an acquaintance.” Ryoko replied formally, shocking Trevor.

“Did you say your name is Kuromiya?” He asked in shock.

“Yes. So I take it you’re aware of my Clan as well?” Ryoko questions him curiously.

“That your family is the runner up compared to the Belmonts? Yes, I’ve heard.” Trevor nods to that.

A vein popped on her forehead. “Runner up?! You rude bastard! How dare you mock my clan!?” Ryoko says angrily towards him.

“Whoops, guess I should’ve said they were equals.” Trevor comments with some sarcasm. Yelena just shakes her head, and pats the top of Ryoko’s head.

“Don’t mind him. He’s terrible at communicating with women.” Yelena tells the female hunter. That made a deadpan form on his face.

“Very funny.”

“But enough of this. What brings you here, passing through this godforsaken forest. I doubt there’s a tavern anywhere near.” Yelena tells him.

“Well I’m looking for a place to sleep after getting a drink” Trevor explained.

“Well that explains the smell, and I doubt a woman would want to fuck you while wearing that stench.” Ryoko commented.

“I finally brought out the real Kuromiya. They can be quite beastly, is that why you can’t get a man?” Trevor deadpanned only to be flipped off by Ryoko.

“Already have a lover, you drunkard.” Ryoko deadpanned.

“Like I give a-” Trevor starts to say.

“Alright, settle down with your bantering and rivalry.” Yelena remarks with amusement. She then looks at the Belmont.

“Make sure you hide your family crest perfectly. Otherwise you’d get your ass kicked by folks looking for an excuse to place blame.” Yelena tells him. Ryoko chuckles, kissing Yelena’s cheek making her giggle.

“Ugh, I’m leaving.” Trevor groans, as he moves to find a place to rest. Ryoko gives him the middle finger.

“Die alone, shit-face.” Ryoko smirks. Only then, did the Belmont return the finger to her without looking back.

“Pike yourself, bitch.” Trevor calls back, as he is gone within the shadows of the forest. Yelena just pats her lover’s head.

“I know, he’s a jerk. But you’ll start understanding his way of words someday.” Yelena reassures her.

“Still, he was rude.” Ryoko replied with a pout.

“I thought so too. Overtime, he’s decent... if you ignore his drinking habit.” Yelena mutters, as the two move along to get out of the woods and make their way home.

“Still, I never thought we would meet a Belmont in person.” Ryoko replied. Although she’s still ticked off about Trevor’s comment calling her clan “Runner-up”.

“Were all Belmonts like him?” Ryoko questioned her.

“Well... last I checked, no. But given what became of his family years ago, I suppose I don’t blame him for turning out like that.” Yelena admits to her.

“You don’t say.” Ryoko comments with a small huff escaping her.

Despite his comments, she does feel bad about what happened to his family. It was unfair, after everything they did to protect the humans from the supernatural and that was the thanks they got.

“Man, people can be ungrateful. I feel for Lord Dracula, he lost his wife and for what?” Ryoko says in sympathy.

Yelena just sighs. “The world is cruel, dear. People can be cruel when they are miserable and willing to destroy any bit of goodness just to make others suffer. Nothing you can do to purge arrogance, selfishness, ignorance, jealousy, and greed for the sake of one’s own peace. This is why I never liked religion, thanks to those filthy animals using it as an excuse for their dirty actions.” Yelena remarks with a scoff. Though she’ll tolerate it out of respect, greedy folks ruined the prospect of religion.

“You know, I’m surprised that Cho didn’t recognize me at all.” Ryoko remarks to her Lady.

“Given that you’re both from the same country, I’m just as surprised as well. Maybe because she doesn’t bother remembering the faces of her lunch.” Yelena says sarcastically. Ryoko simply grins at that, since that’s very likely.

“That’s alright, beloved. I’ll let her figure it out on her own. I had come across two warriors from Japan as well named Taka and Sumi, they used to be Cho’s slaves. I could tell they have a real hatred for vampires which is understandable but I never told them about me being a hunter nor about you, my lady. I guess I wanted to keep you even though I’m aware that you can protect yourself.” Ryoko remarks.

“Possessive and protective, aren’t you?” Yelena chuckles.

“What? You’re my lover, of course I would be. I won’t let anything or anyone try to lay their dirty hand on you.” Ryoko tells her with a pout.

“Funny, and given our first meeting then I would find it hard to believe about your profession.” Yelena giggles.

“Well I don’t see things black and white, my lady.” Ryoko remarks with a smile.

“If only people share the same brain as you.” Yelena comments with a snicker. Both of them are out of the woods, and wandering down the open grassy fields.

~

They managed to return home, which revealed to be a quaint and homey looking cottage. Much better than being in some grand place like a castle or whatever.

“No offense but I don’t know how does Lord Dracula stay in that stuffy castle. He’s looking more haggard.” Ryoko remarks, and she started to take off her clothes along with her gear before putting on a purple Victorian style dress and puts her hair up.

“That aside, I love the dress you got me. I got used to wearing kimonos.” Ryoko adds with a smile.

“Glad to hear. But to answer your question, few vampires like me like to live in solitude in a big place. But even I knew we’d have to get out for some air, not just for feasting and the thrill for killing. I, personally, just go out and wander around. Maybe find a good tavern for a good drink or if there’s any carnivals happening, I’d go there.” Yelena tells her, while she goes and takes a seat on the sofas. The candles of the chandelier and lamp oils were lit up the moment she wandered in the cottage.

“Oh, it’s been a while since we went to one together. Although I was shocked, my lady, to see two humans but they are not ordinary humans.” Ryoko mentions.

“Oh, the servants of Dracula? I’m surprised as well, given he doesn’t tolerate humans and now despises them. But I supposed they must’ve started working for him during his happy days with Lisa.” Yelena remarks while leaning back and messing with the wolf hides on the couch.

"I could be wrong, but they have to be Forgemasters.” Ryoko remarks, knowing that Forgemasters were treated with contempt by individuals who don’t understand their abilities.

Yelena furrowed her brows.

“I’ll keep that in mind by the time we’re raising arms against them.” Yelena mutters, as those kinds of people can be troublesome. But nothing that she couldn’t handle, unless they bring out the big guns.

Yelena then raises her hand, and instantly a wine bottle flies into her hand along with a glass.

“I’m not like Belmont, but I appreciate my wine and good ale here and there.” Yelena remarks.

Ryoko chuckles, leaning over to kiss her lover’s temple. “Are you hungry, my lady?” She asks her as she goes into the kitchen to cook something.

“Anything with meat will do for tonight.” Yelena tells her, while effortlessly uncorking the wine and pouring herself a drink in the glass. Though she is a hunter, Ryoko can cook killer meals.

“Alright, I was going to cook some potatoes and vegetables anyways.” Ryoko said with a smile as she started cooking.

“That’s fine with me.” Yelena says, taking a sip of her wine. She frowned in annoyance when she felt the rim of her glass hit against her fangs lightly.

“Damn, those glass makers should consider making glasses custom made for vampires. Unless that’s just me forgetting about me being a vampire.” Yelena mutters, before taking another drink of her wine.

Ryoko giggles. “My poor lady.” she remarks with a grin.

“Just a thought. Then again, I don’t think they knew vampires existed.” The vampiress remarks dryly.

“That’s true, unfortunately.” Ryoko comments with a hum. She already had the steaks cooked and allowed them to rest while she worked on the vegetables and potatoes.

“But speaking of carnivals, I heard there’s one about to be set up in one town. Maybe we should check it out.” Ryoko tells her.

“Sounds good, Beloved.” Yelena says with a smile, getting up to sit at the dining table now that food is ready. She is cutting into her steak before taking a bite and she moans.

“Excellent as always.” she states with praise, making Ryoko blush.

“I’m glad to hear...” Ryoko mutters with a smile. She always loves hearing Yelena praising her cooking. It makes her feel fulfilled.

Like a wife making homey meals for her spouse after a long day. Just thinking about it made her heart pound, marrying her vampiress.

“Were you thinking something naughty?” Yelena asks with a sly look. Ryoko looks at her with a reddened face.

“Your heart is beating faster. Was I spot on?” Yelena gave a fanged grin at her.

“N-No...” Ryoko muttered with a blush.

“Are you sure about that?” She crooned.

“Y-Yes! I was thinking of something else!” Ryoko stutters shyly. It’s quite endearing, as Ryoko doesn’t normally get shy this easily.

“Like what, marriage?” Yelena guesses.

“Yes.... I want to be your wife, my lady.” Ryoko says to her lover.

She genuinely wants to be with Yelena. She’s aware that she’s committing the ultimate sin, but Ryoko doesn’t bound herself to the rules. She never cared about what society thought of her and she’s not going to stop living her life with Yelena.

Yelena was stunned by that.
