Summary

Saela Riven, raised by her aunt after her father's death, never sought destiny. However, on her 18th birthday, when the wolf Nyra awakens from her slumber, the girl’s life changes forever. Overnight, she becomes the chosen child of the Moon Goddess, but also an object of desire and rejection. Rowan Thorne, a young Alpha, must take control after his father's death. He cannot accept the bond with Saela, seeing her only as a servant. Despite the desire of his wolf, he publicly rejects her, which hurts Saela deeply. Broken, Saela leaves behind her past and builds something that many thought impossible—a wolf pack without an Alpha's name, without a history... but with a power no one dares challenge. Rowan, though he married another, cannot forget Saela. She, hurt and betrayed, decides to close her heart to love. She no longer wants anyone who could break her again. When danger approaches, both packs must join forces, but Saela has no room for forgiveness. Destiny comes with blood, pain, and the moon. Saela knows she was never ready... and that she doesn’t need to be.

Prologue

Some nights are born in silence.

No storms. No lightning. Just the trembling in the air and that creeping feeling that something’s watching you — even when no one’s there.

This was one of those nights.

Fog crawled up the tree trunks, and the moon hung high above, staring down like the eye of an ancient god. Its silver light spilled through the forest, illuminating everything that tried to hide in the shadows.

In a circle of ancient stones, She appeared. Quiet. Powerful. Unexplainable.

Selene. Moon Goddess. Keeper of the Wolf’s Fate.

Her voice was like the breath of the night. Soft — but impossible to ignore.

— When pain brings the world to its knees, from a broken heart, power will rise... — she whispered. — She won’t ask for life. She’ll become death.

Miles away, in an ordinary room, Saela Riven woke up screaming.

She didn’t know what exactly she saw. A shadow shaped like a wolf. Eyes burning like rubies. A voice she somehow recognized, though she’d never heard it before.

She didn’t know yet that it wasn’t a dream.

It was a calling.

And from this moment on — nothing would ever be ordinary again.
