ANĀGATA:-Red leaves don't fall

~

The pale light of dawn seeped through the cracks of the heavy curtains, spilling a muted glow that barely touched the corners of the dark room. The air was thick with tension. She sat in the corner of queen size bed, her eyes fixed on the endless horizon, a thousand thoughts swirling in her mind, oblivious to the presence behind her. The only sound was the ticking of a pocket watch, lying abandoned on the side table ,its rhythm relentless, mocking the silence that seemed to choke the air.

His voice sliced through the quiet like a blade. "What are you looking at, outside? What is it that draws your attention so?"

She didn’t respond. Her gaze remained fixed on the world beyond the window, refusing to acknowledge him.

He moved closer, the heat of his body radiating against her skin as he leaned in, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. "You can’t escape from me, Aara. Not from here. Not from this place."

Her anger flared, her eyes shooting daggers at him, though her words were laced with frustration. She turned her head slightly, meeting his gaze, and in that moment, the fire within her flared. "I will escape. I’m not your pet. Do you understand?" Her words echoed in the vast room, raw with defiance, the sting of her rejection hanging in the air.

He didn’t flinch. His hand reached out, fingertips brushing her cheek with an almost unnervingly tender touch. His eyes held a chilling calmness, a predator’s poise, as he spoke again, his tone low, possessive. "Babe, don’t challenge me. You know better. We both know that you belong to me. You can’t live without me, and that’s exactly why you're here."

Her heart pounded, but she was determined to resist. "Don’t touch me," she hissed, slapping his hand away, her voice dripping with contempt, but he didn’t budge.

His eyes darkened, the calm of a man who was in complete control. "Try to escape if you can," he murmured, his voice thick with warning, "But if I catch you," he whispered, his voice dark and controlled, "you'll regret it. I'll make you crave me for a week. And I promise, I’ll make you beg for it."His words sent a shiver through her, his gaze locking with hers in a way that froze her to the spot. His presence, suffocating and overwhelming, forced her to retreat into the corner, her back against the cold, unforgiving wall.

"Look at yourself," he whispered, voice soft yet cutting, "Look at your condition. You're trapped here, Aara. You can’t escape. Not from me. Not from here."

He let the words sink in before he turned and walked away, his footsteps echoing like a heartbeat, leaving her alone with her thoughts and the suffocating weight of his words.

Time passed, but her mind didn’t ease. When he returned, carrying the medicine, he paused by the window. His gaze fell upon the rope—carefully tied together with various fabrics, each piece a thread of her desperate attempt to flee. His eyes narrowed, and his lips twisted into a dark, knowing smirk. There, amidst the tension and the bitter taste of defeat, he saw the remnants of her rebellion.

His fingers hovered over the cloth, brushing it with a cold, deliberate motion before his gaze flicked to the window once more. His lips curled, a sinister, knowing smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "Run," he muttered, voice low and laced with dark amusement, "Be prepared for me, sweet little Chocolate. You think you can escape? We'll see how far you get."

The shadows of the room seemed to deepen with his words, the air growing heavier, suffused with a chilling anticipation. There was no escape. Not for her. Not from him...
