Blast of Nostalgia
"The book had a slow start as it built this universe around these three primary characters, but it did not linger for long. Then, as the mystery and science began to unfold, I became increasingly invested in the plot. There is a significant amount of effort into explaining characters, dynamics, and other species; this is not a negative thing. All of the above reminds me of a season of Star Trek, the old version with James Kirk. Wherein each chapter explored a new piece to an interconnected mystery/political secret held by the inhabitants of the planet. Our characters are well-defined and have very intriguing interactions with one another. Some perhaps hinting at something more than camaraderie. Only time will tell, as it is an ongoing story. Until then, I shall await more releases. 5/5 stars in all categories."

"Orange Moon is an interesting take on a research team landing on a new planet. The journey of their Captain's experiences while discovering the people, technology, topography, and society of the alien civilization made for an exciting read so far. I am looking forward to where the story goes. "

Orange Moon
"I love a good Sci-Fi movie or TV series and all good ones start with a book. Although I enjoy this genre, I have yet to read many books within it. Orange Moon, is a good starting point or re-introduction to the genre. It is not so detailed heavy that you get drawn away or detached from the plot. It has just the right amount to understand what is going on in this future set story. So far it seems an enjoyable, light, easy read, with plenty of mystery and adventure to come. I’m intrigued about this hostile species that is very much a taboo topic for the Xebrac. I wonder whether the whispers of time have distorted the truth of past events and whether discovering the truth now will help our researchers. Even though there are some grammar and punctuation issues that need fixing, the story is promising and I’m sure my expectations of a satisfying ending will come to fruition. I’m interested to see where this story goes. "

"The story is interesting with where it’s going. The writer dives deep into the culture and civilization but currently I am in a white room. I don’t mind the fast pace of the plot but I do wish the writer slowed down enough for me to even know where we are. I know this is the first draft and there was an issue with manuscript uploads, but the grammar and punctuation make it hard to really focus on the story. "
Sci Fi Enjoyment!
"Orange Moon has a ton of potential for a sci fi story with all of the tropes - alien planet, first contact, all is not as it seems, a second alien species that seems to be a threat. Characters have the potential to be interesting. My one wish is that the story is slowed down...let me fall in love with the characters and the world a little bit more before we start having issues!"

"That’s the first real sci-fi book I read on Inkitt, and it gets credit for making me feel good about the genre. I’m not the biggest sci-fi fan, I’ll admit, and I had some second thoughts checking out this book when I realized it was first contact 😅. Despite my initial skepticism, I’ve grown to be a fan of this book. Greta and the crew are interesting enough to lead the story as the main trio, and the Xebrac civilization in Benal is intriguing. Their crystalline appearance is unique, and I gotta say, they showed a nice sense of humor when they first showed up 😂. I appreciate the detail you placed in their daily life: they trade, build advanced cities, and even play fun games, to name a few 😁. Those are aspects that some sci-fi authors might overlook when developing alien civilizations. You also made sure not to turn it into a perfect utopia by subtly showing issues in this alien civilization, such as gender inequality in a matriarchal society; after all, we can’t assume that their lives are perfect just because they’re alien. Those underlying problems help build up the tension, leaving me on edge. However, I must say that the earlier slow pacing felt a little off. It may not be a flaw in the book itself, being only a matter of taste, but I thought I should let you know. Also, the grammar could use a little more polish here and there. It was an enjoyable read, regardless. Great job, Karin 😁!"
