Summary

Eli takes a walk through the city park just past midnight, chasing silence, sleep, or maybe something darker. The night feels alive — heavy with heat, hunger, and something watching. When he meets a stranger in the shadows, what begins as a flirtation turns into something far more primal. Something ancient. Something wet. He shouldn’t follow. He knows that. But some invitations are too hard to resist.

Chapter 1

Oh God, what am I doing here?

The thought slipped into my head as I stepped past the rusted gate into the park. It was just past midnight — that hour where everything quiets, where the city finally stops pretending it’s safe. The paths were empty except for the ghosts that always lingered here, hidden in the dark — or people like me, looking for something we couldn’t name.

I wasn’t here for a jog.

The air was damp, heavy with that earthy, post-rain scent. Streetlights barely reached this deep, their halos fading into crooked trees and wild undergrowth. My boots crunched over gravel, my hands buried deep in my jacket pockets to keep from trembling. I wasn’t nervous. Not exactly. But something coiled in my gut — anticipation or instinct, I couldn’t tell.

I knew the scene. The shapes waiting in the shadows. Bodies half-lit by moonlight, voices low and urgent. I caught glimpses — figures tucked near benches, silhouettes moving between thickets. Moans floated out from the dark, wet and breathy. A mouth found skin somewhere behind me, and I heard a gasp, a rhythm.

My cock stirred in my jeans.

I went deeper.

The deeper I walked, the stranger it felt — the way the air changed. Charged. Like the ground beneath me was holding its breath.

Then I saw him.

Leaning against the old fountain — that cracked stone relic choked with ivy — was a man. A figure, really. Almost statue-still. Big. Broad shoulders, long limbs, half-hidden in the dark like he belonged to it. But I saw his eyes. Even from a distance, they gleamed silver, sharp and animal.

Something in my chest fluttered.

I stepped closer, ignoring every rational voice in my head.

“Hey,” I said, keeping my tone casual, cocky even, like I wasn’t already half-hard and buzzing with adrenaline.

His head tilted. He didn’t move at first — just stared. Then he spoke, voice low and rough, like broken stones sliding across one another.

“You shouldn’t be out here tonight.”

“And yet… here I am.”

He pushed off the fountain and came toward me. Not fast. Just a slow, deliberate step, like a predator that knows it doesn’t have to run. As he got closer, I caught his scent — wild, thick with sweat and earth and something metallic. Not cologne. Not human.

He reached for me.

Fist curling into my jacket, he yanked me forward. I stumbled into him, chest to chest, and suddenly all I could feel was heat. His body radiated it like he was burning alive beneath his skin.

“You don’t know what I am,” he said, and it wasn’t a warning. It was a fact.

But I did know. My body knew.

“I can guess,” I whispered.

His hands slid down my sides, fingers pressing into me through the layers of denim and leather. He groaned — low and guttural — and I gasped, spine arching into him. My cock throbbed, trapped in my jeans, desperate for friction.

Then — the sky shifted.

The clouds parted. The moonlight fell like a spotlight, pale and cold.

And he began to change.

I heard it first — the snap of bone. Then the wet sounds of flesh reshaping, muscles bulging, skin splitting. His jaw cracked open, teeth lengthening into fangs. Fur spilled out from beneath torn clothes. Claws shredded through fingers.

I should have run.

But I stood frozen, watching with horrified awe as he became something else — monstrous and beautiful, like the nightmare you secretly want to fuck. When he looked at me again, it wasn’t a man’s eyes that stared back — it was something older. Wilder.

Still, I reached up and pressed my palm to his chest. His heart thundered beneath fur and flesh.

“Still you in there?” I breathed.

He didn’t answer — just growled. Deep. Bone-rattling. The sound of a storm you can’t outrun.

I smiled. I don’t know why. Maybe I was reckless. Maybe I was stupid. But I tilted my chin, bared my neck, and whispered, “Then take what you need.”

His claws tore through my clothes like nothing — jacket, shirt, jeans, everything shredded and hanging from me in ruined pieces. The stone of the fountain pressed cold into my back, but his body was fire, searing hot as he pinned me there.

I moaned.

He snarled in response — a sound full of hunger and rage and want.

He bit my neck — not to break skin, just enough to make me cry out — then pressed his massive body against mine, grinding, growling, marking me.

I could feel him through what little fabric remained. His cock — thick, slick at the tip, burning hot — pressed against my thigh, heavy and inhuman. I whimpered, hips shifting, offering myself up without words.

And he took me.

He lifted me like I weighed nothing, carried me off the path into the trees. Branches tore at my arms, the wind screamed through the leaves, and the world blurred into wild motion until we landed — somewhere deeper. Somewhere hidden.

He dropped me onto damp moss. The cold hit me like a slap, but the heat of him was already crawling back over me, anchoring me to the earth.

Then his mouth was on my chest, his tongue rough and hot, dragging over my skin. His hands — claws now — gripped my thighs, pried me open.

When he pressed the head of his cock against me, I gasped.

It hurt.

God, it hurt. But I didn’t pull away. I grabbed his fur, clutching tight, riding the pain, letting it bleed into something darker. Something more.

He entered me slowly, painfully — stretching me to the edge of what I could take, and then a little further. My vision went white. My back arched. I screamed into the night.

And still, he kept going.

Every thrust was brutal, shaking the ground beneath us. His growls turned to snarls, his pace savage. I couldn’t think. Could barely breathe. My body was his, raw and wide open, and he was claiming every inch.

I came first, hard and violent, sobbing through it. But he didn’t stop. Didn’t slow. He drove into me harder, faster, like he needed to fuck something out of himself — a curse, a hunger, a century of loneliness.

And I let him.

Because maybe I was lonely too.

Then his jaws closed around my throat — not breaking skin, just holding. I went still. Silent. My whole body tense beneath him, waiting for whatever came next.

The thrusts grew erratic. Frantic. The claws dug deeper into my hips.

I felt the moment it happened — when he lost control.

Pleasure exploded through me again, blinding and unbearable. I saw stars. My body locked up.

And then —

Nothing.

Silence.

No breath. No heartbeat. Just cold moss beneath me, warm blood between my thighs, and the silver of the moon fading behind clouds again.

Was I dead?

Changed?

Claimed?

I don’t know.

I just know the night swallowed me, and it never gave me back.
