In the Echo of your absence
In the quiet dawn, where whispers sleep,
I weave my thoughts, in shadows deep.
Your laughter lingers, a phantom tune,
Yet here I stand, beneath a waning moon.
With every sunrise, hope takes flight,
But heavy clouds turn day to night.
I chase your ghost through fields of pain,
Each step I take, I find it in vain.
The coffee brews in our favorite cup,
But bitterness rises, I can’t lift it up.
The sunlight dances where you used to roam,
Now each beam feels like a call to home.
Like autumn leaves that spiral and fall,
My heart lays scattered, silent, small.
Each text I send, tread softly, withdraw,
A conversation haunted by the absence of “us.”
I twist my fate, I bend, I break,
Yet every effort leads to heartache.
Like marionette strings, tangled and tied,
No matter the jest, you’re not by my side.
I wander through memories, dusty, ajar,
Reminded of smiles, beneath a distant star.
But love can’t mend with a threadbare seam,
And the nights stretch long, in a broken dream.
In your absence, a sorrowful song,
A melody haunting, where shadows belong.
So I’ll whisper your name to the winds that roam,
And wait for the day we once more find home. here…
