Chapter 1

The photograph of his wife beamed like a light from the opposite side of the room. But the room was black and white, just like his center of emotions. It had been like that since his marriage partner, Jessie, had won the approval to file for divorce. Jeffrey could not believe that what was happening was real.

Jessie had taken official action against Jeffrey, saying she had been unsatisfied with the marriage. He had not devoted enough of himself to her hopes and needs. He had been too busy with his writing career.

Jeffrey realized that his soon-to-be ex-wife had good reason for wanting to punish him. He also knew he had to dial her apartment. He had to recreate the connection between them.

Jeffrey assured Jessie that he would devote even more of himself to her. She became unshaken in her belief and threw the divorce papers away. Her husband decided to take her on vacation.

Out of nowhere, she recalled when they would watch the Eiffel Tower in Paris light up like a golden Christmas tree when the sky got dark. Over the phone, Jessie asked her husband, “Do you remember our honeymoon in Paris?”

Jessie also recalled how lucky she felt to visit the best city in Western Europe’s republic. She and Jeffrey agreed that this place was beyond the usual.

She recalled the excursions they would take on foot from one place to another when The Morning Star came into sight. These journeys lasted for a long time. She also remembered the romantic slow dances and waltzes they shared under the points of light when the sky was dark.

Jessie recalled how she enjoyed Paris, which was full of energy. The people were enthusiastic. They refused to let anything prevent them from doing what they had decided to do. They were too keen on making their wishes come true. They wished for things to happen. This fascinated Jessie, and she wished she could see the United States.

When the two of them got there, it was springtime. Jessie fell in love with the warm breeze, the town’s good looks, and her husband all over again. One bright morning, Jeffrey treated his wife to a ride on a merry-go-round not too far from the Eiffel Tower. Luckily, this scene was outside this couple’s hotel room. They couldn’t take their eyes off one another. They floated up and down on the horses. The music transported them back to their childhoods. That night, this couple couldn’t get over this view or the fun they had that morning. This emotion moved them to touch one another’s lips, It lasted until the sun came up.

After a day of sleeping, Jeffrey and Jessie opened their eyes to find snow and ice outside their window. Other romantic couples were skating outside. So they decided, “Why not?”

Jeffrey placed a ring on his wife’s finger. He pledged to balance his writing career with his commitment to her. In the end, he succeeded in keeping his vows. They now have a family.

They are now the parents of two kids, Baxter and Sandy Sue. Every summer, they travel to Paris as a family. This family loves sightseeing on boat rides at night, especially seeing the lights in the windows of the skyscrapers next to the Eiffel Tower. They even went to see “The Phantom Of The Opera.”

While the kids were in college, the couple came to Paris in the fall. One morning, the sun rose over the red-orange leaves. This miracle inspired them to share a kiss.

One spring, the park near the Eiffel Tower bloomed with pink roses on the water and the trees. This miracle moved Jeffrey to pick one of these roses up and place it in Jessie’s hair. This moved his wife to tears and inspired her to kiss her husband on the lips.

During one spring season, Jessie and Jeffrey noticed that the flowers in Paris were as purple as the clouds in the sky. To this couple, this sight was a miracle. Later that day, the couple rode together on a boat on the Seine. They noticed the French Institute. They were excited to see the Louvre and wondered what art was hiding there.

Then, they saw many people who lived on boats. They believed in spending their lives on a ship together. When their kids graduated from college, the entire family moved to Paris and got their wish.

The End
