The mist was slowly rising and after a stormy night, which rendered the surroundings silent, the first signs of humanity could be seen. Among it all stood a defeated figure with slumped shoulders, dirt filled clothes and slightly ragged hair, the tear stains clearly visible on her dirty face.

A perfect image of sorrow, she seemingly bend under the weight of the backpack she was carrying, when in reality it was the guilt she was feeling that was not allowing her to live freely. The happy environment around her, the carefree laughter and those smiling faces of the people seemed to surround her from all sides, she seemed to be choking, drowning and yet no one was there to help. After all she killed them herself.

She could not take it anymore, she ran and ran as fast as she could. Away from humanity, from her life, from everything. She ran till she could run no more. Her body was protesting and yet her guilt would not leave her alone. She screamed her heart out and tired slumped on a rock nearby.She was tired, not just physically but emotionally as well.

The storm that had stopped in nature was continuously rebelling inside her. She sighed and rubbed her tired eyes.She could not remember the last time she she slept peacefully. Every time she closed her eyes those smiling faces came in front of her and haunted her.

Those carefree laughters which turned to shrieks of terror before anybody could understand anything. Her father, those twinkling eyes which lost there light forever, her brother and his silly, carefree ways which she would never be able to witness anymore, and her mother, lying all bloodied and bruised in the hospital right now. All because of her.

It was not known when her eyes closed but when she opened them again, she was a new person.The fragile body lay there in the middle of the woods with her back perched on a rock when a tall figure came from behind the woods. Shock would be an understatement to say how she felt.

The same figure she thought she would never see again was standing right in front of her. "Papa..." she rushed forward and hugged him, "... I missed you so much, where were you?

"Chunni, what are you doing? This is not the woman I know! Why are you running? From your life, your  responsibilities. I did not raise you with such values. Show Vikram that if he attacks you, you can return the blow tenfold."

"But papa, I am not strong enough!"

"No, you are. You just need to show that you are strong! Don't disappoint me and make sure that all the values I instilled in you don't go in vain!"

"Yes papa, I will try my best. But you come back with me. With you and mother, I will surely defeat Vikram."

"No Chunni. You have to do this alone. Your mother needs rest and though I would like to help you, I am so far from you to help. But remember that I will always be with you here", the fading image of the man pointed at the lady's heart. "Goodbye dear, take care"."No papa, don't leave me! Don't go." The girl jerked forward and screamed, "Papaaaaaa". She was covered in sweat beads and was breathing heavily. She sighed when she realised it was all a dream.

She closed her eyes and those wonderful moments spent with her family flashed in front of her eyes.

Her father's words ringing in her ears, she remembered all those which happened. A thought prevailed in her mind, "What am I doing? Why am I running away? Shouldn't I avenge my father's and brother's death? My mother's condition? I am not that weak!"

She took a deep breath, looked forward and opened her eyes. A spark of determination was clearly visible in her eyes. She smirked. It was time to show all those who did not take her seriously as she was a woman, who she actually was!

It was time to show those who dared to do something so disastrous to her family what she was capable of! She was KAVYA SINGHANIYA, the daughter of Abhinash Singhaniya, the owner of one of the leading multi-billionaire companies worldwide. It was time everyone took her for who she was!

It was time to return home!!!

This draft was lying  here for a pretty long time. It is 1 am here and my midnight motivation  has lead my intrusive  thoughts to finally publish this.
