Between Two Flames

( Tess's pov)

I've known Kade and his brother's Luca and Aaron since the first summer before high-school. Aaron had started dating my older sister Ally at the time they were both starting college . My sister was my only relative left after our parents passed away in a car accident when I was five. I was sad ally was leaving for college but I still had kade and Luca to look after me. The bonfire party ended and Aaron and ally left for the college. Because I was only 15 I was living with kade and Luca , with their parents until one my aunts could come get me. It was one in the morning when Carol , kade and Lucas's mom rushed into my room in tears " Tessa! Sweetie wake up" I turn on my lamp looking at her concerned " Carol did something happen to ally and Aaron!?" She shakes her head at me " goodness no, I'm sorry I woke you but Luca and I can't find Kade do you know where he is ?" She asks me worriedly I sigh heavily getting out of bed looking at Luca " Luc, do you mind driving us to Christine's?" He nods at me " how do you know kade is there?" He asks me curiously " Because he saw us kiss on the beach tonight. He told me , he wasn't my boyfriend and to do whatever the hell I wanted. He also said you were bad for me." Luca sighs heavily looking at me " what did you tell him?" He asks me concerned I look at him confused " I told him it was my heart , my descion. " Carol sighs " oh dear , sounds like Kade is jealous maybe just let him cool off he'll come home " Luca and I sigh heading too our rooms back to bed. My phone dings with a text from Kade " Tess, I'm sorry for earlier. Can you please meet me at the beach?" I grabbed my phone and key headed to the beach . Kade was standing there his dark brown hair blowing in the breeze, he was standing in the waves. As I called his name he turned smiled at me with those dimples " Kade it's freezing and its late, what do you want to talk too me about?" I ask him annoyed after he had nerve getting upset with me for simply kissing his brother. Kade sighs looking at me " I'm sorry Tessa, look the way I acted earlier tonight wasn't right. I shouldn't have said those things to you Tess. I was jealous " I step closer looking up at him " why kade?" " Tess , you mean to tell me you never noticed?" I look at him confused " noticed what Kade?" He sighs heavily " That me and Luc are crazy about you" I freeze blushing brightly " you're both in love with me? Kade this information would have been helpful tonight during our conversation. Why didn't you tell me you had feelings for me and how long?" I ask him curiously he smiles at me " since we first met you I tried to push my feelings aside when Aaron started dating your sister. Then again when Luc came to me told me he had feelings for you too. I gave him my blessing to date you too be happy but as hard as I tried I couldn't put my feelings aside." Kade looked heartbroken what was I going to do? I pulled him closer " I only kissed your brother and he was drunk my intention was to help him . " kade raises his eyebrow at me " help how? By looking for the car keys in his mouth?" I gently shove him crying as Luc appears behind me " Tess, what's wrong?" Kade sighs heavily looking at him " just go home Luc! Its none of your business " Luc glares at him scooping me up " Like hell I'm going anywhere kade. I'm not sure what you said too make her cry but she's our best friend you better apologize "  kade sighs looking at me " Tess , I'm sorry,  okay but the truth is you're not just our best friend anymore. You have to understand how we both feel about you Tess. I won't lie , it will make us fight and do stupid things. Luc is a playboy he loves girls for sex, that's not me. He is going to cheat on you you'll be left alone . " Luc gently puts me down as they begin to fight. I walk away angirly, Aaron stops me at the edge of the beach with his father. " hey Tess where are they ?" Aaron asks me worriedly I sigh looking at him " they're on the beach fighting eachother beacuse they are both in love with me and kade called Luc a playboy. " Aaron runs down breaking them up they return with bloody faces bruises. I get into the car ignoring them, when morning comes both of them are sitting at the breakfast table. If my sister were here she'd say " you're caught between a rock and a hard place, but follow your heart" The boys had to bring me too school while carol and Aaron took care of ally's funeral arrangements. We got to school and I got out of the car the boys followed me to the side of the building as christine gave me a look. As both baker brother's started appoligizing for the fight I sighed " kade you have company. Luc and I will meet you at lunch " I said too him leaving as christine hung all over him like a spider on its web . Lunch came but we couldn't find kade anywhere so figured he ditched school as always  so Luc and I sat together at the table. " Do you want my pudding I hate pudding " he says offering to me poiletley I smile at him shyly " you hate sweets yeah right! I've seen you eat a whole bag of gummy worms" he smirks at me blushing " shhh, Tess those were moms secret stash and they're my favorite. What class do you have next ?" " none I have a spare " I say to him smiling brightly he grins at me " great you can watch me at football practice then " I nod at him " sure I'll go watch before the game starts" Before the football game started kade and Luc were talking as Luc began to shout at kade angirly crying. I stood there listening as Luc said " she died because of you" I froze for a minute as they both looked at me hurt and confused. I had tears in my eyes " what the hell is going on?" I asked them both worriedly kade wipes his eyes " we were talking about our little sister " I sigh heavily as Luca throws his helmet dropping to his knees as he continues to cry " She died because of you Kade ! You were supposed to be watching her . She loved surfing, but when christine showed up you let Taylor go by herself she was only four years old! " Luc shouted at him Kade glared at him fustratedly " I blame myself every fucking day Luc! Christine had nothing to do with Tay's drowning. The waves started getting rough and she paddled out too far. I tried to get to her on time but ....it was too late. " I look down " I never knew about Taylor. I'm sorry " I say too them kade sighs heavily " yeah , she passed just before we met you " carol's car pulls up kade looks at her " the coach called me herd you two over here fighting about Taylor. " she says sighing heavily kade goes to help Luc up " come on Luc , lets go home." Luca pulls away from him angirly kade heads to the car . Carol sighs following him I kneel down next to luc " Luc , talk too me please " I turn his head towards me as he looks at me heartbroken. He keans his head on my shoulder crying " Tess, she was so little and she looked like she was sleeping  " I look into his eyes as he kisses me deeply. I feel butterflies and sparjs fly when he kisses me, Luc pulls away looking at me blushing " I'm sorry Tess." He says " sorry for what kissing me, showing me how you feel about me?" He sighs looking at me " I don't want you to believe the rumors of me . Tess, I'm not some playboy I don't sleep around. " I giggle at him " I know that, that why you haven't asked me out yet because you're worried what others may think?" He sgrugs at me nodding " well Luca will you be my boyfriend?" I ask him blushing brightly he kisses me deeply smirking at me " yes " We walk down the beach holding hands . Luc sighs looking at me " Tess , we have to tell Kade about us" I nod at him. I didn't want anyone hurt but he was right, but now I was really stuck between a rock and a hard place. Because the first night I arrived here I never told my sister that Kade had kissed me. I didn't want to hurt either of them and I had already asked luc to be my boyfriend. Maybe I just got caught up in the moment and I felt bad . I paused on the beach letting his hand drop he looked at me confused. " Tess is everything okay?" I sigh heavily shaking my head at him " No , it's not Luca I f we're going to date or atleast talk about it. I need to be completely honest with you " he gently touches my face " Tessa whatever it is , I'm not going anywhere I love you Tess do you understand me?" I nod wipping my eyes leaning into him " Ally and Aaron had just started dating it was when the three of us first met. Before I moved in here , ally would constantly talk with Aaron on the phone. Kade texted me a couple of times saying something bad happened. Ally didn't want me too know I tried to call you, but you didn't answer so I'm assuming it was the day of your sister's funeral. I wanted to make sure you were okay, both of you. Then the first night I moved in I didn't even tell ally about it . Kade kissed me , but I pushed him away because ally had just died that night. " Luc sighs looking at me " Tess I'm not upset with you, you were honest with me now take my hand " he says as we head inside I take his hand as we enter the living room giggling. Everyone is sitting on the sofa as they turn and look at us Kade jumps over the sofa glaring at Luc. As he shoves him backwards " you always do this! Luca " their parents separate them carol raises her eyebrow at them " both of you too the kitchen! Tessa, you can stay with Aaron at the hotel. " the boys sigh heavily kade sighs looking at her " Mom no , please dont kick her out because something I did. " carol looks at him " its not just you kade, you've been fighting for awhile now. Ever since you met her. It needs too stop its the only way." She says I sigh heavily as tears roll down my face " Mrs. Baker , I want to thank you and mr . Baker for letting me stay here . I'll go I'm sorry I caused trouble." I head for the door as I lose my footing Kade catches me as he leans in kissing me passionatly. I completely forgot the world around me. Until Luc shoved him off and held me " Tess are you okay?" I shake my head at him confused " I just slipped that's all . " now I had more then one problem and had no idea how to fix it, both baker boys had a craving for me and me for them. But I couldn't have both of them could I?
