What is your opinion?

A Solid Beginning

"Firstly, I must say that you stated that English isn't your first language, but it doesn't show in the writing at all and overall the book is very well-written! I was pleasantly surprised by how much the story drew me and had me invested in Mira and Raghav's journey. Though the story only has a few chapters to its name so far, it has set the tone for the rest of the story. I really liked the juxtaposition of Raghav's decision in the second prologue that gave him the reason to seek out Mira and I think that it wouldn't have had the same impact if we hadn't seen his POV after Mira's. Speaking of Raghav, what a green flag. I like him already! If I could offer some words of suggestion, I would suggest that you show, rather than tell. For example, in the instance where Raghav narrates his career, it would flow better if that information is conveyed to the reader via some over means - like a news article something of that sort. However, that is merely a small suggestion and overall your story has a lot of potential and I'm looking forward to see where it goes from here! :) To any readers who might be hesitant to start reading this book - don't. It's definitely worth a read."

A lot of potential

"I don't read a lot of online fiction these days but when I recently logged in to Inkitt, I decided to have a browse and check out this story which came recommended to me. The author, Ishakoo, has stated that English was not their first language but I think they did a superb job for someone who isn't fluent! I've seen a great many stories far, far worse who's failure to even try has put me off stories that otherwise could've been decent. Don't worry too much about this forewarning. The sentences are perfectly legible and what's more, flow quite nicely with the narrative. There are only a few chapters so far but I liked what I read. I'm already sympathising with Mira who, in spite of losing almost everything, is still fighting for her family's legacy. I find the character Raghav interesting too, although if I'd have to pick a favourite, it would be Mira. I'm a bit of a sucker for stories about strong yet realistic heroines. Mind you, I'm a sucker for romance too so that might change. If I had anything to advise, I would say to shorten your authors notes a bit. It's good that you're communicative with your audience but in some instances, you tend to give away elements of the plot that could've been worked into the story narrative itself. It is implied in the blurb and mentioned in Raghav's chapter that Mira's family died in the plane-crash. Instead of mentioning it in the author's note you could omit that altogether and it would serve as a good plot-twist for fresh readers. Remember, a lot of readers (I cannot speak for every, single one!) love suspense. Even if it is tragic, I like to look back on it and think to myself 'wow! I did not see that coming!'. Other than that, you're doing better than you think. Your English writing is pretty impressive and I think you've got a solid foundation for a good story."
