A Wonderfully Built Dark Fantasy!
"If you like dark fantasy, painfully slow-burning romance, world-building, and a strong as hell female main character, this book is for you. Nyk does an amazing job at creating a story that I am able to picture in my mind as I’m reading. Ever is not waiting for someone to save her, to make her see her worth. She is strong, and she is determined. In my opinion, all of the characters in this story have an intriguing, well written story in their own rights. The ONLY critique I have is that I think it would benefit Nyk to have an editor to catch some grammatical/spelling errors. The storyline is consistent, the plot twists are unexpected and well-designed. The action scenes are exciting, and all of the relationships - romantic, platonic, and adversarial - are believable and authentic. I cannot wait to read Swords and Gods, and I look forward to seeing the world and story of Varanthe expand with the subsequent novels. "

"I had the pleasure of reading some of this before the remastered version came out, and it was amazing then, but now it's definitely been brought up a notch! The author's writing style is amazingly descriptive, the world is rich, and it makes it very easy to immerse yourself in the world she's created. While the story is not finished yet, I'll say I've had the pleasure to see what's in store, and it's a fantastic plot, the characters are engrossing, and the intricacy of the plotline is immaculate. Highly rec to anyone who is a romance lover, with a love of high-fantasy! Really looking forward to seeing the whole thing come together, Nyk!"
