Chapter 1: Time Jump Into the Next Presidency
It had been at least eight long years since President Harold Truax’s second administration ended. Thaddeus “Tyler” Knight had one becoming his successor for his first major General election. Being the former Governor of Iowa and then the Vice President presented Thaddeus with a unique set of challenges. His two sons – George and Denny have grown quite a bit. George had been dating Gabriela Jones, the daughter of the Vice President Jake Jones. Jake was formerly a Senator of the Red, White and Secure hailing from the state of Nevada. Thaddeus was prepared to head into his second term, and he was having a strategy discussion with Jake.
“It’s nice that my daughter and your son are dating” laughed Vice President Jake.
“Yes” replied President Thaddeus, “I do appreciate my children have behaved better now that they have gotten use to being in the White House.”
George was ready to head out for another date with Gabriela. Gabriela’s mother Liz was preparing her dress. Liz and Jake wanted their daughter to grow up with a traditional family. What more traditional could there be than the First Family?
“Are you nervous dear?” asked Liz as she was inspecting Gabriela’s dress.
“A little,” said Gabriela.
Tonight was really going to be George and Gabriela’s anniversary date. They had been together for at least three long years. She expected to soon get engaged with him. Back in the First Family’s quarters in the White House, Denny felt left out with the entire life changing events that George was going through. George was more mature and confident when it came to women, while Denny wasn’t that much.
“Why so glum Denny?” asked George.
“Why do you get a girlfriend, but I don’t?” asked Denny.
“Ah come on Denny, you’ll meet someone you’ll like,” said George.
Denny was a bit jealous of his brother since he was dating the Vice President’s daughter. He wished he would like his status to be upgraded like that. But while the Knight brothers were discussing matters of life – Kenneth Lockhart, who had become the new Boss DC eight years ago was listening in on every word. Kenneth was Thaddeus’ former opponent in the Iowa Governor’s race back when Thaddeus first started out in politics before being approached by Harold Truax to become his running mate.
“So, the boys are having issues with life,” laughed Kenneth.
Kenneth had kept tabs on the Knight brothers, he felt George would get wind of his operations first, so he decided to focus every effort on Denny. Kenneth had some idea on how to embarrass Thaddeus if things went better than expected with Thaddeus’ foreign policies. Kenneth had connections with the Blue Eagle Collective as its new Boss DC for some time. Meng Chao and Theodore Harvey were Senators of the Blue Eagle Collective that Kenneth had regular contacts with.
“Time to call them up for that favor,” said Kenneth.
Kenneth soon headed towards his laptop and headed onto a dark web app to meet the two Senators. Senator Meng responded first with Theodore being second.
“Yes, Boss DC?” asked Senator Meng.
“It’s that time, I know which Knight brother is more vulnerable,” said Kenneth.
“Do tell,” said Senator Theodore.
“I am going to need your daughters Joyce Chao and Harriet Harvey on this case” said Kenneth, “I know they have been spying on the two Knight brothers since the last incident exposed Jonathan Scully as the old Boss DC.”
Kenneth was patient with the Knight brothers on seeking revenge for that sort of retribution but the only Knight brother he could take it out on was Denny.
