It was late at night in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In a quiet neighborhood, Mom and I were sleeping in our beds after a long day of errands. My name is Christine Marefield, an 18-year-old student with brown hair and hazel eyes. My mom, Julia Marefield, is 43 years old with long blonde hair and blue eyes. She works as a librarian at the Sioux Falls Public Library and is well-loved by the community. I attend Sioux High School, where I am involved in various activities such as cheerleading, basketball, volleyball, and rugby. I also serve as the Student Body President and play the Clarinet in the school band. Despite my busy schedule, my mom always supported me in my games. Lately, however, she seemed distant and avoided attending my games. During a meal one evening, she shared her fears of someone intruding on our home and taking her away in her nightmares. I comforted her, reassuring her that it was just a bad dream. Her smile returned, and we finished our meal together. Settling onto the plush couch in the cozy living room, we indulged in some TV time before eventually retiring to bed.

That night, I rose from my bed and strolled towards the bathroom, passing by my mother's room. Pausing at the doorway, left ajar, I beheld my mother, slumbering so serenely. Slowly leaving her room, I began my journey to the bathroom. An hour passed, retracing my steps back to my room. Approaching my mother's doorway, a peculiar array of lights flickered from within. Intrigued, I inched closer, cautiously peering into the room. Awakened by an unusual spectacle, I beheld Four Strange Beings positioned on each side of my mother's bed. She lay in a peaceful slumber, oblivious to the surreal events unfolding. Without warning, her bedcovers were whisked away, and she began to rise slowly from the bed, defying gravity. In an instant, a blinding flash of light encompassed the room, compelling me to avert my gaze. When the radiance dissipated, and I dared to peek back into the room, a wave of astonishment overcame me - my mother had vanished into thin air. Unaware of the UFO ascending from the house, I suddenly grasped that my mom had been taken by extraterrestrial beings. and would be subject to becoming a pivotal component of their experiments.
