Chapter 1

"Why are you doing this to me?" the boy asked. His body trembled with both pain and fear.

Kang Seungho curled his lips into a childlike smile. He let out an innocent giggle, and then, a second later—

The psychotic maniac standing before the boy suddenly stared down at him with a seriousness so heavy, the whole world seemed to fall silent. The smile vanished, replaced by something far colder, far darker.

The person standing there wasn’t human anymore—but something else. Something whose gaze froze the very air.

A cold, emotionless emptiness spread across his face.

He crouched down next to the pitiful boy lying on the ground, grabbed his chin between two fingers, and tilted his head back painfully.

"Who do you think you are to question me?" he asked. His eyes sparked like lightning. Not that he expected an answer—he didn't care. He simply enjoyed the fear. The raw, delicious fear that made this weak little thing shiver.

He simply enjoyed how terrified this helpless boy was.

Just like everyone else.

The suffocating silence was broken by another one of his laughs.

"Ya! I asked you something," He shook the boy’s head like a broken doll, giggling louder now, the sound bouncing off the walls.

When he got bored of the silence, he slowly stood up, gave the poor boy one last kick, and walked off laughing.

"Ah... Next time, I’ll beat the shit out of you," he muttered under his breath, almost to himself.

Kang Seungho.

Everyone knows that name. And all for the same reason:

Fear.

Seungho loved to play with people. If he felt like it, he beat someone up. Sometimes he made someone cheat on their partner. Other times, he forced someone to steal.

All for the same reason.

Boredom.

When he got bored, he played with people like toys.

Of course, that’s just the surface. His cruelty wasn’t just driven by boredom—but We’ll get there. For now, let’s meet the infamous high school boy everyone whispers about.

His defining trait? Restless amusement. He loved to laugh, joke around, do anything to break the monotony of daily life.

His only goal in life? To have fun.

Naturally, in his own twisted way.

While most kids were into video games or dumb pranks, Seungho’s thrill came from watching people break

…Well, okay. That’s not entirely true.

He does like video games too.

He possesses an extremely high IQ, he’s outstandingly smart—but rarely bothers to actually use his brain. Thinking is boring.

His personality was childlike—nothing was serious, everything was a joke. He didn’t fear consequences. He’d reach straight into the fire even knowing he’d get burned. He caused chaos on purpose, and when trouble finally caught up to him, he didn’t feel guilt—only satisfaction

His parents never raised him. In fact, they were never really around.

He’s been alone since childhood.

You could try to blame his behavior on that.

But you’d be wrong.

Because up until a year ago, Kang Seungho was a little angel.

Okay—maybe not quite an angel. The signs of madness were already there—but not like this.

He wasn’t this messed up.

So… what happened to him?
