Prologue
Luke struggled to his feet. He found himself in unfamiliar surroundings, panting heavily, he was now drenched in sweat. He was disoriented and dazed by a blow to the head. A cut was prominent over his left eye. There was a tear across the left sleeve of his shirt and it was damp with blood.
He looked ahead. There was nothing but water as far as the eye could see. He calmed for a moment and began to regain his composure. His surroundings started to come back into focus. He was on a rooftop. As he turned, the city of Cleveland came into view. He looked over the edge at the apex of the pyramid-like structure reaching up to him from below. He thought to himself, Dammit! I hate heights.
There was a black helicopter moving in from the west over the Cleveland Browns Stadium. A game was in progress and the seats were full of spectators.
It occurred to him that the rooftop of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was not likely the safest place for him to be.
