My Husband Would Love This Book More Than Me
"Okay so I need to be upfront about something before I even start this review. My husband writes satire. Like, actual satire. Our dinner table is basically a roast that never ends and mowing the lawn somehow becomes a commentary on the human condition. I know satire. I live with satire. I am surrounded by satire on a daily basis and have developed what I can only describe as a tolerance for it, the way some people develop a tolerance for spicy food. So when I tell you this anthology made me feel a little out of my league as a reviewer, please understand that is not something I say lightly. Eidahs writes across genres like she's just checking things off a very eccentric bucket list, noir, Shakespearean tragedy, holiday romance, and somehow lands every single one with the same confident, slightly unhinged energy. The images tucked into the stories are a lovely touch. The fun facts at the end made me like her immediately because you can feel the actual human behind the work, which is rare and worth mentioning. My personal favorite, and I will not be spoiling a single thing, involves Jack Frost. What I will say is that an immortal ice king who can defeat an entire room of armed soldiers somehow completely loses his nerve in a hallway and I have never related to a mythological being more in my life. If I ever invited Eidahs over for dinner, my husband would forget I existed somewhere around the appetizers. By the main course they'd be finishing each other's jokes. By dessert I'd be sitting in the corner with my wine, completely forgotten, watching two people satirize the entire evening while I smiled and nodded and pretended I was in on it. I'm a romance author who dabbles in humor. She's the real thing. So to my fellow romance authors and readers, just read this anthology. You'll enjoy every word of it and you'll finish it feeling like Eidahs does satire better than you do. Which she absolutely does."

Fun Stories!
"These are really fun and short stand-alone stories. I hope to see more. I especially love the conversation between the various Shakespearean miseries, and the Western style mobster made for a great mix up of the genre. I recommend these if you have a few minutes!"
An intresting collection of three stories (so far)
"These three short stories were interesting to read and since they are short, they quickly captivate you and you can read them in one sitting. Each one had a totally different premise and an interesting concept that was explored during the story. Highly recommended, and hopefully the author will write more 😁"
